Inspired by traditional Arctic kayaks, the Coast XT is capable of serious expeditions and pro-level performance. With superb speed and handling, it's our most sophisticated kayak yet. In 2018, we've made major improvements to the assembly process, comfort, fit, and safety of our flagship model - all of these features create a boat that's as beautiful to look at as it is to paddle.
The Coast XT is built for serious adventure— and for 2021, we've made it even more sturdy, with new aluminum cockpit latches and extra-reinforced strap anchor points. We've also added a new geometric print pattern that screams "performance". The Coast XT is super fast and efficient in the water and can hold enough gear for days. This Touring Kayak is tough enough to handle the open ocean, but still light enough to carry on your back.

Oru Kayaks are made from a custom polypropylene, with a 10 year UV treatment, and a 20,000 fold cycle rating! While the hull is designed to take a beating, we suggest you treat your kayak like a fiberglass boat. Oru Kayaks come with a limited 12-month warranty.

Caring For Your Origami Kayak
We recommend treating your Oru Kayak as you would a fiberglass, wood, or skin-on-frame kayak. Here are some guidelines:
- Avoid unnecessary dragging or bumping - use the carry handles to lift, instead of tugging it behind you
- Store out of direct sunlight - our boats have a 10-year UV treatment, but we still recommend sheltered storage
- Rinse the kayak thoroughly with fresh water after each use - sediment and salt that dry to the surface of the boat can be abrasive over time
