Big Bass 250 Tournament

It’s official! On Saturday, October 24th, Eco Fishing Shop will be hosting The 5th Annual Big Bass 250 Tournament on Lake of the Ozarks! Be one of 250 anglers to join this kayak-only tournament with the chance to win $10,000. That’s right, we’re guaranteeing to pay $10,000 again for whoever catches the biggest bass (length) for the day.

We will also be paying out the Top 10 anglers in a 5-fish limit. Payouts will be determined by the number of entries. If 250 anglers sign up, 1st place will pay out another $10,000. That’s a chance for $20K in winnings for 1 tournament.

Fun first kayak tournament!

Was a great event in my eyes. Staff was kind and welcoming, the post tournament dinner and awards ceremony was a great time! Shared a table with fun people from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Minnesota. Was great to meet a bunch of fellow fish heads. Will definitely be back for another.

The Big Bass 250 at Lake of the Ozarks was an incredible experience. Eco Fishing Shop continues to set the standard for well-run kayak fishing events, and this tournament was no exception. From the smooth registration process to the clear rules and communication, everything felt organized and welcoming.

Even though I didn’t catch the $10,000 fish, the day was an absolute blast, great energy on the water, tons of anglers, and plenty of fish biting. It’s the kind of event that brings the kayak fishing community together and keeps you coming back year after year.

Eco Fishing Shop does an outstanding job supporting anglers with not just gear, but community, culture, and events that make the sport even better. I’m already looking forward to the next Big Bass 250. Highly recommend!

Being my first year attending, I thought the overall event went well. The only thing I would change would be a little bit longer prefishing on Friday. I understand the check in process takes a bit longer.

Everything first class

Had a great time at the BB250! It starts with Eco Fishing shop and their team, but the participants, cash and prizes, giveaways, the banquet, and the lake, everything was first class! I’ll be back every time you put on a tournament.

I didn’t do so well in the tournament so I get 2 stars for my performance. Ha

Best event and even Better giveaways

This was my first big bass event and as long as Eco fishing is holding the event I will be there. The cash prize for 1 fish is crazy along with the insane giveaways as the award ceremony!!!

Big Time Event

Well ran tournament, the awards ceremony was one of the best I have ever been to! Jonathan Dominguez went above and beyond to do an early morning board check to accommodate my late arrival. I look forward to attending in the years to come.

My first 250

I thought that it was well ran, thought out and worth coming back to every year.
The only bone I have to pick is with the awards presentation. Several anglers (including myself) voiced the opinion that we would like more time given in presenting the awards to the top 10 and especially, the big bass. A little more drama, a little more build up and questions asked to the top places on their day and such was needed.
I understand it's easy to just push through everything because there is a lot to get to with the raffle and all but it kind of ended anticlimactically due to the above reasons. Other than that, well done.

First Class Tournament!

If you only fish one tournament in 2024, better put the Big Bash 250 on the top of the list. The Tournament Directors run a first class event with incredible paybacks. Even if you don’t “cash a check”, the raffles are unheard of. I mean where else do you see thousands of dollars in prizes PLUS they gave away 6 kayaks!
See you there next year!

Best ever

It's a great event, one I looked forward to each year. Eco shops guys are very welcoming. Food is great and the prizes are amazing. Sucks having to wait a whole year for the
next lol. One in the spring also would be great to divide the wait time.

Wow where do I start eco went above and beyond to bring so many vendors and amazing giveaways the brotherhood of kayak anglers was the best part so cool to meet anglers from across the country and what a venue with outstanding food and friendship and Johnathan Dominguez and Travis Randall are so kind and friendly and just put so much into the event and every day in the shop we're so fortunate to have them at a wimb notice to help fix something or great advice I really appreciate everything thanks so much looking forward to 2024!!!

Biggest and best tournament around

This tournament is absolutely amazing. Year in and year out. It is very well ran, there are amazing prizes for winners and piles of great door prizes even if you dont win. The post tournament banquet has great food and is always a good time to meet and greet with friends and some awesome people in the industry. This was my second year fishing it and will be back for sure. Put some faces to the great guys and gals at Eco Fishing Shop! 10/10

One of the best tournaments around. Prize give away is off the charts and was a step up this year from last year. Everyone at the shop is friendly during check in and at awards Highly recommended to fish this tournament and or visit the shop for fishing needs

Best kayak tournament ever!

I have been to lots of tournaments local and out of state. Non of those tournaments (bass master,aaks,moyak,toc, etc) come close to what you guys put together! Great job! I will do this tournament again! Would love to see a series at this caliber. Thank you for putting on a epic tournament!

Good turnout

Only issue I seen was people fishing before the set time which gave 1 guy a chance to recieve a prize when he should have been disqualified. I think launching the yaks is fine but don't release them till lines in would be the best bet or if tourney x could grab your timeframe when pics are actually taken rather than submitted. It is what it is and unfortunately you will have those types in a tournament especially with a prize that large but this may keep some from wanting to join. On another note, I did meet a bunch of amazing people from other clubs that were super informative about the place and what to use and were very helpful in making it a great time even in the conditions we had in front of us.
