The kayak was shipped fast and wrapped perfectly! I just love the SS107 kayak I’m 65 and this is so easy to get in and out of plus super stable. The seat is very comfortable I can fish for hours. Highly recommend Eco Fishing and the SS107
Nice, lightweight paddle for my U10. The adjustment snap button and holes have a perfectly snug fit. Zero play on mine.
This kayak is so thoughtfully designed! Easy rigging, stability and so much unobstructed room in the “fishing zone”. In comparison to other Kayak’s, I call it my pontoon boat! Just absolutely love this rig. I do wish it came with the rudder installed. That would make it an easier build for a bow mount motor. It’s was a cumbersome install.
First of all, dealing with the guys at Eco Fishing is always a pleasure. They have awesome customer service! And if you don't see something you are needing on their website, make sure and ask them if they can get it, because they usually can. The Yak Attack BlackPak is a necessity and a good way to keep all of your tackle nice and organized. Yak Attack products are extremely good quality and I've never had any issues.
Having had bow and stern motors. this is truly hands free fishing with the foot pedals. My only complaint is it should really be 36v as well. But that is a me issue. Other than that, I truly like this motor setup.
I needed nav lights but dont have a lot of space above the waterline to mount the regular strips. These can be removed easily and there's no wiring required or having to figure out where to mount a switch. I have a flag with a light already so I clipped the white one to my PFD. The only thing I dont like is that the remote only works after you manually wake up the lights and only stays awake a shoet time. If you forget to turn them on and back off before dusk, you have to crawl your way out to the bow to turn them back on. Not that big of a deal and worth not having to run more wires.
Delivery of the Native Slayer Propel 10 LTE was great, This kayak is surprisingly lightweight and easy to launch and stow, being 63 I can easily lift and load it. On the water it performs exceptionally well compared to my other peddle drive yaks, accessory tracks and the rear motor mount re perfect, I’ve added an electric trolling motor that has turned this platform into a fish slaying machine
I’ve been using this phone holder for a couple of months. Keep it track mounted on the Captain’s Bridge rail track on the front of my Hobie PA12 360XR.
PROs: Works fantastic. Maintains a firm grip on my phone while allowing for easy removal when needed. Highly configurable for achieving the perfect horizontal and vertical desired orientation. LockNLoad base allows for easy attachment and removal of the mount to/from the track rail during setup and takedown.
CON: The tethered rubber holster that attaches to the phone itself slightly overlaps the four corners of the phone’s display making it difficult in certain screens to touch the outer corners when needed. Simply stretching the rubber band out of the way in that situation circumvents the issue. A minor inconvenience that’s outweighed by the other benefits of the holder. Wish they’d consider a MagSafe design in the future for the tethered connection to the phone.
SUMMARY: If you need an effective phone holder, this is a great solution.
The coosa x is by far the best kayak I’ve ever sit in. The shipping process from eco fishing was also a breeze. They answered any and all questions. They made me feel like I wasn’t just someone paying my money to a company. Thank yall!
This Kayak has numerous great features right out of the wrapper! The jet drive is super easy to use and without pulling up any drives or rudders you can run it right up onto the beach under power! The jet drive is really quiet and very efficient, turns on a dime. The numerous gear tracks made adding fishing accessories a breeze. Lots of open deck room for gear. The seat is well thought out and very comfortable. The voltage regulator system makes using a wide variety of batteries possible. The factory installed running lights and deck lights are great! I'm loving it!
This boat is extremely stable, the pedals are smooth and not too loud, I was looking for a fishing platform for my local lakes and this kayak fit the bill! A bit pricey, but you get quality. FYI its HEAVY about 100lbs so be sure to have a slick loading/unloading system flushed out first.
Just wanted to say that Eco Fishing Shop is incredible. I'm only sorry that I can't purchase another yak from them immediately.
The coosa x seems to be a decent craft, a little sluggish on open water but ok. Haven't tried the river abilities yet but hopefully it's at least a little better there. at the moment 5 stars for ECO and 4 stars for the coosa
This is a great kayak and I love the EPS system for it. I would highly recommend this kayak.
Although most of the time these aren't necessary for our old town Sportsman kayaks, they come in handy when there is a bit of chop. For the most part on calm waters, there is no need to have them in the fronts of our kayaks. The back gets a lot more water though, so we use them in the backs all the time to keep our gear dry.
We bought a trailer for our kayaks, but depending on the dock or location, it's not always the best option for moving our heavy kayaks. This comes in very handy in those situations, or when we want to take them off the trailer for other reasons. Once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake and saves a lot of struggle. The assembly instructions were limited but it was easy to figure out.
(my wife's review) Bought this for my kayak. The back is up high enough so that it doesn't interfere with my seat back, the sides are free for arm movement, has a great fit for women, does not ride up at all... comfy enough to wear all day! It is a bit hot though. I was roasting in mine on a 90 degree day.
The sidekick was well worth it. I am able to load up my kayak and roll it to the launch without any issues. We also launched from non designated areas and the cart rolls decent. It was also easy to install and comes with a YouTube instructional video. The only downside was the paint chipped off easily.
Well made and I get the design objectives, but seems overly complicated compared to other brands and their solutions. Fidgety installation for my Garmin EchoMap. I routed the transducer cable in the scupper channels.
I have not had the opportunity to use it a bunch but well thought out. It is a little on the heavy side but should hold up well.
U Max Nuclear Green - props to eco fishing for outstanding customer support too
If you’re someone who's tall, big, both or want to bring a friend or your 5 year old out with you this is an amazing fishing kayak. I had 2 200+ lbs dudes plus my son on it one day and it went well. Just note if you reach over max self bail capacity 500lbs you can’t use the transducer retract system that you can purchase separately. You will eventually sink haha
Plenty of track options here and another is added if you get the gear pod with it. I keep the front right side track clear so i can jump in the water on the extra hot days and get back in.
Most likely if you get this you’ll add a trolling motor and probably the foot steering. I’m still working the kinks out with the eps system with the nk300 as the left turn isn’t nearly as good as the right. Also it turns wide unless slightly using the throttle with it.
I do wish there were options to what length the cable is that connects the foot steering to the motor but even then it’s a personal preference. I had to purchase a separate one from NuCanoe. If you have a crate I would suggest the 8ft cable.
Stability is really good but can be better. It’s a massive kayak so consider your size and potential plans if you want to bring someone or not.
This yak also handles busy waters really well. Handled large wakes well.
Older pic as I changed items around to exactly how i wanted it.
The Highlander 120 inflatable is perfect for using while camping in our Travel Trailer. It fits in my camper or back seat of my F150. The service was great, I had a few questions and was able to chat online to get my answers. I ordered it on Sunday and received it on Wednesday.
