Worked great. Slapped a Newport vessel kayak trolling motor on it locked it going straight. You would need rudder for this setup. Essentially it is an electric pedalless kayak. Just like how oldtown autopilot 106. One star dinged due to craftmanship. Plastic burr everywhere, had to sand it down myself.
After weeks of research, I made the decision to purchase a Sportsman 120 paddle version. My local tackle shop that is an Old Town dealer said they would have more NEXT SEASON. What!!! It is the season. Eco Fishing Shop came through and delivered without issue. Thanks so very much

I have to say the only thing I regret about this boat is not getting into one sooner.. My previous kayak was an angler sit in, which served me well for 10 years. My back just started not approving of long outings in it though.. So this time I was in the market for a sit on top. After lots of research, I ended up with the Old Town PDL. A few of the highlights.
- Took only 10 minutes to get everything put together and out onto the water.
- Seat is super comfortable, and even after a few hours on the water, I had no cramps or back aches.
- The PDL power is a lot quicker then I thought it would be. It also makes it a lot easier to control your drift while fishing. Previously I had to put the rod down, and paddle.. Now I can just reverse while still fishing if I am getting blown in somewhere.
- Multi rod storage all in reach.. I typically go out with 2 rods, and this set up is perfect.. with the 2 holder behind the seat, I can easily swap between rods, and I can also move the primary one to the front hole while peddling.
- The back storage area is perfect for a pup companion as well.. He previously sat in the cockpit with me, which was not great for eiehter of us.. Now he has plenty of room to sit, lay down, or look around.. He seems much more comfortable in this boat!
If you are thinking about this boat, I say go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Pads work well on my T-bone. Provides extra protection to it and to my kayaks. I liked the Boonedox branding logo on the pads as well. The system works great and is very stylish.
I was hesitant on spending the money on this but it saves you from punching more holes in your boat and the time of running wires.
The new seat has been great. I had the old topwater seat for 8 years and just purchased the Oldtown Sportsman seat has my replacement. The comfort level compared to my old seat is 10 times better alone with better back support. Fast shipping from Eco Fishing.

I got my kayak in fast and with no problems. I have been enjoying getting it rigged up and can’t wait to take it out on the water. Very happy with my purchase.
The hook and serrated edge are great. When it comes time to drag through shallows I use the hook to grab the front strap of kayak and pull it like a rope. It's a real back saver!
Kayak tracks well, paddles upstream well, and floats in shallower water than I thought it would. Great river fishing kayak.
Very happy with the kickstand wheel as I’m able to move it around the garage without having a lift the tongue
Purchased without any regrets. Definitely beats using spot lock in shallow water that’ll spook fish.
Need to modify if you want to drop the height of the load. The two lights had issues but Malone support was fast and provided new lights quickly. The registration in NY was a breeze with the provided documentation.

Almost gave up kayak fishing, but then I bought this trailer. Made my life so much easier. I actually look forward to go out and go fishing should’ve bought a long time ago.
