Absolutely Great addition

I will start off saying that it is a little expensive, (the Bixpy angler setup) , but what a great addition to the lure 11.5 kayak. the Bixpy K1 setup on this POD setup makes it such a simple process. Pop the K1 pod in and hook up the battery and off you go. I combined the kayak with a pedal steer beaver tail rudder kit and this has been the best setup for me.

Excellent

Loving this kayak. I use it for fishing primary and it's superb. I am 6'1" and about 190 pounds and it's very comfortable for me with lots of adjustment. Really enjoy the keel wheel integration . I am not fond of the proprietary track system, I have had to buy extra adaptors to use traditional t track [such as yakattack stuff].

Obnoxiously loud

Pros: plug and play with Dorado V2 48; nearly plug and play with Lure V2; battery is light, lasts several hours, and comes with a charger; you can pedal or power, whichever you want; easy to put in and out; will push my Lure 11.5 V2, 250 pounds of me, and a full crate about 4.25 mph; limp mode bypasses the controller.

Cons: Extremely loud at full speed, moderately loud at low; only splash proof (don't get rolled!); controller is finicky (wires got pulled out of soldered connection).

Neither Pro nor Con, but interesting: it comes with wiring to hook up a 12v transformer so you can use one battery to run your motor and your graph or other accessories. You have to buy the transformer separately (around $20 on the web), but it is rather convenient to not have to deal with 2 batteries and still get a 48v motor.

Overall: I've had it out a few times, and I do like it, but if I had to do over, I think I'd go with a podmount for a sterndrive trolling motor and not worry about the pedal ability.

Best Investment!

Fishing the inshore coast of East Central Florida there were many days when the wind kicked up and I had to get off the water. The micro anchor has allowed me to stay out and fish. If I hook a fish, or break off on an oyster bed, a double tap on the fob around my neck holds my position until I’m ready to cast again. My internal debate was, do I want to stop (micro anchor) or go (motor system). A motor combined with my PDL would have been convenient. But, the ability to hold my position and thoroughly fish an area has been priceless!

Five day kayak camping trip.

We bought the Morken for my 12 year old son. It was relatively easy for him to operate on our 5 day kayak trip. We traveled about 70 miles. He was required to haul his own gear for camping. During the trip, we had a day of class 1 and 2 rapids. The Morken did very good compared to my Jackson Knarr, but he did not have the same amount of gear loaded. The beaver tail rudder was amazing. The pdl was easy enough to take in and out, but was not able to lock in. We were able to make it work, but needed a more sustainable fix once we got back. If you are under 5 foot 6, you would have a difficult time reaching the pedals. The track system needed adapters to put accessories on it, which was not a big deal. The PDL was heavy for carrying when we hit the landings at the end of the day. Fora a mid grade kayak, it was amazing and my son absolutely loved. We spent about six hours a day on the water and he was very comfortable the whole time. I would purchase this kayak again.

Better than I expected

Fantastic...

Very happy with the kayak, Old Town Sportsman 120 Pro. For a full review lookup MooreSporting on YouTube!

Pungo 105 review

I love my new kayak. The only thing that I would say is it doesn't track as well as my Tarpon 12 footer. I love Wilderness kayaks. Also, since I've bought it, I've seen it way cheaper at other dealers, I wish I would have researched better for pricing.

Malone 5 way Kit

Sturdy and solid product; used a few small pieces of thin rubber under the clamps to keep from cutting into cross bars. I installed it just offset to the passenger side of my 'Outback' (for later use with canoe) and used with 2 kayaks, but after a few trial and errors, its best to have the middle stand support rail down (to outside) and slide a kayak on first, then simply lift up the rail and lock into place. Strap it in, then place the second kayak up and easily strap it in place. Came with all the straps and ropes, although I'll probably upgrade the rope, but overall a great product at a great price!

Haven't had a chance to use it yet

Tandem Fun

Love the kayak

Old Town Sportsman 106 Powered By Minn Kota Fishing Kayak

I am very happy with the kayak. I have caught more fish with it that my previous bass boat. The high water is making it difficult to find an appropriate launch point, dut to terrain. It is very stable and responds well. Speed is your friend when turning. I will probably replace the motor connection it, I seems vulnerable to damage. I will probably add some electrical options. Wish i knew about the one with the light already installed.

Guardian Angel Micro Series RF Kayak Kit & Remote

I like the kit real well and use it frequently when it’s possible to be near or after dark. I was concerned that the magnet will separate from the mount and the light. Fortunately it attached itself to the metal on my trailer or it would be lost. I have on several occasions knocked the light off the bow position with a net.

One Objective Kayak Keep Prottector

I had no problems applying the item to my kayak. But it is lacking in instructions. The small tube of adhesion stimulator seems small compared to other adhesion columns. I was not sure if it was to spread upon the protector or on the kayak surface to be covered. Since there such a minimal amount i spread on the kayak and it is adhering. Better instructions would be nice. The protector seems to be thick enough and i expect i will be happy if it states attached to my kayak. I use a trailer so it will not get a lot of contact.

Power pole move zr

Pros: love the anchor
Great power
I like the app, makes updates easy
Love the warranty, I'm sure that I will utilize it
Cons: price is outrageous
Should be self deploying
Remote buttons should be different, the 2 big power pole buttons that I don't even use should be the left right buttons. Remote also feels cheap, we'll see if it holds up.

I should have spent the money sooner. The Minn kota is truly a game changing fishing tool.

Jonathan is top notch and an asset to your company. His knowledge and customer service is something that is hard to find these days.

Love my PD 106

Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Perry and the gang at ECO Fishing. My experience from the order to the delivery of my “bad ass” Old Town PD 106 was unsurpassed by any local dealers or other options like Amazon. Living in a small town in the Rocky Mountains is always a challenge getting affordable fishing gear or equipment. I now understand all the 5 star ratings I reviewed before making my purchase. Again. Thanks guys I am loving the yak and loving the service I got from you. “Do what you do”! Thanks for giving us mountain folks a great price point and options on your products. “Peace out” 😂

Five day kayak trip.

I did a 5 day river trip and traveled about 70 miles with 150lbs of gear and my weight of 200lbs on my Jackson Knarr . During the trip we encountered about a day of going through class one and two rapids. The guy was very stable and the pedal drive system was absolutely amazing for pulling the drive up quickly. When rocks were approaching with a lot of shallow water, it was absolutely amazing to be able to have a different depths of the PDL. He’s very comfortable and easy to get in and out of on the water. There were zero issues with all of the weight I had on it other than it sat in the water a little lower and made some of the rapids more difficult. On a side note, I did sink it completely because of the mistake I made, but having the front and rear hatch made it easy to remove the water with a portable bilge pump.

PDL120

Best decision I’ve ever made when it comes to Fishing. Took my Fishing experience to another level!!!!!

Need2BFishing

Got my kayak set up the way I want ! Now I just need to find the time to pull it with my new trailer. Going soon, I promise !

Crescent Smallie Kayak

It’s a great kayak to fish from but not so much standing up. I was hoping it would be more stable for stand up fishing but it’s difficult to balance and stand up to fish - it can be done but very carefully and once standing it does not feel stable - slack water is ok but any chop and I would not try to stand up. The kayak is lightweight and very portable which I really like. I have added some accessories to make it even better - overall very happy with the kayak.

Great so far

Recently had surgery so couldn’t paddle my kayak so pacMotor has allowed me to get back on the water and catch a few fish.
