I recently bought a kayak and the guys at ECO gave me a great deal on the Backwater assasin two piece paddle. The paddle design is great and ridgid enough to push off or use to get in and out of your yak. I recommend you check out this product.
Still trying to get every where I want it, but great plenty of space
Kayak has perfect stability for the short big guys. 5’9 375 never thought I would be out there on a kayak 👍🏽 enjoying life 😎
Eco Fishing Shop was very helpful and responsive. Even during the assembly. This trailer from Malone is high-quality and will serve my business for many years to come. Thanks and much appreciated!!
Ordered the Bonified Captians Bridge and am very satisfied it is rock solid and is very well made and versatile
Thanks again
I have used it once and so far I love it. It pushes my Hobie PA12 at 4 mph on full speed setting. 2.7 mph at half speed setting. I weigh 155 lbs and carry maybe 35 lbs of gear including the motor and battery.
I haven’t yet had an opportunity to run the battery near empty so I don’t know how long it will last me on a typical fishing day, but I think it will be enough power for my 5-6 hour days. (Not motoring all that time, of course)
I recieved my Slayer max 10 and have been preping for use. I finaly put her in the water and was really impressed with the features. This model featured the swivel seat and is why I selected this model. The seat needs some re-engineering but I’ll take that up with Native. Eco Fishing shop has been excellent to work with. The communication has has been timely and professional. Do not hesitate to purchase from ECO.
Waiting for spring to get the new boat out on the water, but I’m overall pretty pleased with the purchase. The value for the dollar is unmatched with the Dorado. The shipping experience was concerning, but ultimately delivered here quickly and with absolutely no damage. We’ve had a few set up issues, but I’m confidant Perry will get them all sorted out. I wish there was more info on the wiring, but there is no other paddle/pedal/motor option worth considering. We will defiantly be buying another kayak from Eco.
Love the kayak and the great communication from ECO fishing!!
Best purchase I’ve made in quarter one, of 2025. I only seek to utilize ecofishingshop.com as much as possible! The slayer propel 10 lte is a total game changer for me, it’s light, and easy to maneuver around with the sidekick. In addition to the fishing, it fishes great!! I can stand, paddle, peddle, motor, troll etc! I took it out to brackish water and soon will take it coastal if conditions permit. Great kayak! Probably will purchase my second kayak here most likely.
Hi the Boat is Awesome. I haven't put it together yet. It's to cold and there's ice on the waters in Wisconsin. Can't wait
Leaves the arms free and the mesh back doesn’t get in the way of a kayak seat. I like that you can unzip it while leaving it buckled if it gets hot out
Awesome addition to your kayak and fast free shipping from Eco Fishing is a bonus.
WS Radar's have front hatch. Hatches leak water and basically (front one's) cannot be accessed out paddling. Open bow would have been more beneficial. Hatch latches are quite flimsy. Treat with kid gloves! Center hatch might not open due to seat interference. For sure with seat in low position. Seat: 3-position seat is not a very big deal at all. High position makes the boat feel more tippy. I will be modifying my seat to a middle position. Get rid of extra tubing under the seat for better storage. Boat quality: My kayak seems to have been over heated in the mold. I have groups of small pinholes around in the boat's plastic. Some spots are very rough and needs wet sanded and polished out. One season on the kayak so far. Since day one I get water down inside. Will be searching for leaks, not sure if pinholes are that deep or not.
Keel design protrudes below bottom. Laying kayak on flat surface or hauling it. Keel takes a heavy load and pushes up on the inner/upper floor. Makes things being pinched under the seat. Of course, flexing the scupper hole ports is never a good idea.
Maybe this deserves a 2 star rating. For the asking price of these kayaks. One would think the plastic should at least be perfect. Now sanding and polishing to make smooth. It fills pinholes with residue. It's going to always be discolored in these areas. Not what I like to see in a new kayak.
Update with pictures: These are only a few quick shots. These rough bubbled areas are all over the boat. Very disappointing to have to sand and polish this out on a fairly new boat. Didn't realize it was this bad until I started cleaning it up for the season.
Seat/ middle hatch update: With a peddle unit installed. One will likely have to adjust the seat forward for leg adjustment. With seat in the high position. The lower hatch just barely clears the seat to open it. (I am 6' tall for a seat adj reference.) If you are shorter than 6' it's very likely to be a bigger problem with lower hatch. Wish the hatch maybe opened front to back. Insteed of side to side. Maybe then?
My new Malone trunk goes great with my new Malone trailer. Hook up and go!!
Shipping took longer than expected and I missed a window of opportunity to take my U10 out. Hopefully I can get it out in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, my NK 180 Pro sits in the box also. I emailed customer service asking how do I use the points that I have earned towards the purchase of the Quick Connect kit that sits in my shopping cart. Maybe some day I’ll all come together before my retirement disappears completely.
Been using kayaks for many years now this is hands down one of my favorites ever in my stall.
Tons of room and the exterior pockets and rod holders are a game changer. Would buy again for sure. Tip, unpack the bag and let it sit out for a while to breathe/stretch out. Getting the plastic side panels in is a workout.
I figured I would have to wait a bit...you order a 140lbs Kayak to be shipped and expect anything other than to wait a bit on shipping and you need to adjust your outlook of the world. So I had no issue with waiting. The issue started when the shipper gave me my delivery date and time, and never showed. Upon calling customer support of the shipping company the first "agent" told me I was lying repeatedly. Not in a thinly veiled passive aggressive way either...just full on "Sir you are lying" when I tried to ask for a supervisor I got hung up on. So I tried their online chat...less chance of an AI calling me a liar when I am reading off their email. Chat isn't AI, total bummer, but the "agent" is at least semi helpful and tells me my shipment was sent to the wrong delivery hub and gives me the new delivery date. So now I've already had to take one day off work for the delivery, lets fire another one...bummer, but overtime exists for a reason. So heres the second blown delivery date. Took 3 phone calls to Valley Companies (the shipper) during which they repeatedly tried telling me it has been in my city since the 5th for them to finally admit it is "in transit" but they aren't sure where to or where from and that it is scheduled to be in my city today, but that when it does get here they don't know who will actually be delivering the Kayak to my house or when. I want to do business with EcoFishing again...really and truly. I had these items in my cart for 19 months while I busted my buns putting in 60 hour weeks (50 for the wife and kids 10 for me) to save for this Kayak. I checked that cart looking for deals, sales or a better choice while I saved for 19 months. I won't be able to do business with EcoFishing again...and that's a shame. It isn't their fault, its 100% on the shipper...but I can't in good conscience deal with this shipping company again. They seem to care so very little about what matters to me its unbelievable. By the time the appointment is actually made for delivery I will have lost 1k in wages sitting at my house after taking a day off because delivery was promised yet failed to be provided and when I told the shipper they are costing me significant money in lost wages they said "O well, you should go live your life and stop waiting on the order" when I explained I only waited because they told me to I was told....direct quote..."Too bad".
I’ve been using the PWR129 for about 3 months now and it’s definitely the best kayak I’ve used so far. I upgraded from the Ascend 133x at the end of last year to the PWR. I fish offshore for bass a lot so I can get into some rougher water sometimes, the PWR handles the rough water like a champ. The weight capacity is also very impressive for how much lower the hull sits in the water compared to the 133x. I have the PWR loaded with just about as much stuff at possible and it still handles very well.
The PowerDrive 55 does everything you need it to do on a kayak. It’s robust, powerful and light enough to carry. Excellent when travelling up current or over long distances. Fishing with spot-lock on a kayak is life changing. Plus, it’s much easier to steer with a remote than having the motor mounted behind you. Many thanks to ECO for the military discount. Much appreciated!
