2026 Bonafide RVR119 Paddle Fishing Kayak
With the new RVR119, you can get to those hard to reach waters. We designed the RVR with three main principles; hull-ability, mobility/transport, and ultimate fishability.
The Bonafide RVR119 Fishing Kayak is a high-performance, versatile kayak designed specifically for anglers who demand stability, maneuverability, and convenience on the water. Measuring 11'9" in length, it strikes a balance between compactness for easy transport and sufficient space for fishing gear and accessories.
This kayak offers outstanding stability, allowing anglers to stand comfortably for improved visibility and casting accuracy, which is particularly useful in rivers, lakes, and other varied water conditions. The RVR119 features ample storage options, including a large bow hatch, stern tank well, and multiple gear tracks for mounting rod holders, fish finders, and other accessories. With a comfortable, adjustable seat, superior tracking, and a stealthy design for approaching fish quietly, the Bonafide RVR119 is a reliable choice for both seasoned anglers and beginners alike.

Bonafide RVR119 More Features
Moving back from the bow, we have included our Boss Strap rod and paddle stager. Grooves in the Boss Strap allow rod tips to be easily organized and it is elevated off the deck enough to slide a paddle blade right underneath for quick storage. Just below the boss strap you will find an access plate to get into the hull of the boat for rigging purposes including lights, wiring, mounting. There is another plate on the stern for the same reason.
One feature that is unique to the RVR119 is our brand new Triple Action Bow Strap, this strap is totally unique in kayak fishing and allows you to do three key things: 1. You can use the strap to help pull the kayak, 2. You can use the strap to tie down dry bags and boxes quickly and easily, 3. It can be used to organize and transport your fishing rods to and from the water.
- An Extremely Stable (Realtively Dry) Deck
The deck of the RVR is designed specifically to drain water effectively and efficiently. The deck is sloped back to scupper holes. The key here is to get water off the deck as quickly as possible to reduce the risk of water weight causing the kayak to become unstable. The deck also features ample groove tracks for mounting gear and traction pads for comfortable standing.
In fact we have included a dedicated slot for a 26” Ketch Measuring board to rest right in front of the paddler. The Ketch Board slots in the kayak are angled down slightly so the fish's nose quickly finds its way to the end of the measuring board. The slots also allow the board to be raised off the deck so your feet can remain underneath the board itself.
- Dry Valuables and Room to Grow
The popular Bonafide Dry Pod has been integrated into the RVR. The Dry Pod is removable and can house a full fish finder system. Simply attach your graph to the top of the pod, batter within and transducer below and you are ready to go. This also allows you to take the pod out for safety if you leave your kayak on a trailer. If you own another Bonafide Kayak and have your Dry Pod rigged with a fish finder/transducer, it will fit perfectly here too.
For your feet, we have incorporated our SS foot braces which are aluminum and can lock or unlock to get you the perfect positioning. If you decide to add a stern mounted motor, simply use our Steering Kit accessory on the dual action foot braces to allow for foot turning control.
- We Mean Extream Flexibility
On the gunnel of the kayak, we have strategically placed inserts for quick mount of the YakAttack RotoGrip or LockNLoad Track Base. The LockNLoad base opens up a wide range of mounts that makes this area extremely customizable.
Just behind the stern tank well area you will see four pad eyes (two per side) on the stern gunnel for additional bungee attachment points for those extended or overnight trips down the river.
On the very back of the deck you will find inserts for attaching our RVR Stern Mounting Plate for easily attaching a stern electric motor over the anchor system.
Moving back to the seat. The seat is hand-sewn right at our factory in North Carolina, USA and is extremely comfortable. The seat is adjustable forward or aft 4 inches so you can trim out the RVR specifically to the paddlers size. There is plenty of storage space underneath the seat as well and grooved slots in the kayak for rod butts to rest for transport or for stowing away in rapids (in conjunction with the Triple Action Bow Strap). Just to the right of the seat on the kayak sidewall is the skeg control handle. You can simply turn the handle back and forth to engage or disengage the skeg. The skeg system will automatically retract when going over rocks or trees in the water with the integrated spring system.
- Seriously, Extreme Flexibility
Directly behind the seat, there is a motor battery mounting area with multiple ways to secure it to the deck of the kayak. On both sides of this storage area are groove tracks for accessories or the Bonafide Sidekick Wheel System.
The RVR stern deck was built around the YakAttack BlackPak Pro system, every size (13” x 13”, 13” x 16” and 16” x 16”) will fit just right. The bungee includes OmniHooks to attach the BlackPak easily to the RVR.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Bonafide RVR119
Who is the Bonafide RVR119 designed for?
The Bonafide RVR119 is built for anglers who fish moving water. It is the river hull in the Bonafide range, and at 11'9" long and 35" wide it is short enough to work creeks and tight water while still giving a stable deck to stand and cast from. Anglers whose fishing is mostly open lake or coastal water will get better tracking over distance from a longer hull.
What rivers and water conditions suit the Bonafide RVR119?
The Bonafide RVR119 suits river running, shallow water and skinny runs, and its retractable drop skeg lets you switch between tracking straight across flat water and turning freely in current. What the hull can do and what is safe on a given day are different questions: current speed, water level, hazards, weather, your load and your own experience decide that. Scout unfamiliar water and build up gradually.
What are the Bonafide RVR119 dimensions, and how do you transport it?
The Bonafide RVR119 is 11'9" long, 35" wide and weighs 85 lbs. Whether rooftop transport works depends on your vehicle's roof-load limit, your rack capacity, whether you use a loading aid and your own lifting ability, so check those before assuming it. On river days the shuttle between put-in and take-out matters as much as the drive from home, and the Sidekick HD wheel system fits this hull for the walk down to the water.
How much weight can the Bonafide RVR119 carry?
The Bonafide RVR119 has a published capacity of 425 pounds, and that figure covers the kayak, the paddler and the gear together rather than the person alone. Count the rigged kayak weight, any batteries and electronics, your fishing tackle and the rest of your cargo when you plan a load, and leave margin rather than working to the maximum. On moving water a heavily loaded kayak also responds more slowly.
How do the drop skeg and adjustable seat change how the Bonafide RVR119 handles?
The Bonafide RVR119 handles differently depending on whether the drop skeg is deployed. Lowered, it holds a straight line across flat water; retracted, the hull turns freely, which is what you want in current. The skeg is controlled from a handle beside the seat and springs back automatically if it strikes a rock or a submerged tree. The seat also adjusts four inches fore and aft so you can trim the kayak to your load.
Can the Bonafide RVR119 take a stern motor, and is a motor included?
The Bonafide RVR119 is prepared for a stern motor but no motor is included with the kayak. The hull has stern inserts for the RVR stern mounting plate, an integrated throttle landing and rudder-capable footbrace landings so a steering kit can be added for foot control. The mounting plate, steering kit, motor, battery, charger, wiring and circuit protection are all separate purchases. No maximum motor rating is published for this hull, so we do not state one — tell us the motor you are considering and we will confirm the fit. Full specifications are on the Bonafide RVR119 specifications page.
What anchor features are built into the Bonafide RVR119?
The Bonafide RVR119 has its anchor landings molded into the hull: integrated Anchor Wizard pulley landings, a quiet bow retraction channel and stern drag-chain channels. Those are mounting points rather than equipment, so the Anchor Wizard hardware, the anchor itself and any drag chains are bought separately. The advantage is that you fit a system to positions the hull was laid out for instead of drilling into a deck that was not.
How does the Bonafide RVR119 Dry Pod support a fishfinder?
The Bonafide RVR119 Dry Pod is a removable module that houses a complete fishfinder installation, with the display mounted on top, the battery inside and the transducer running below. Because it lifts out, you can take the electronics home rather than leaving them on a kayak parked on a trailer. A rigged Dry Pod from another Bonafide kayak fits as well. The fishfinder, transducer and battery are not included.
Which crates, measuring boards and wheels fit the Bonafide RVR119?
The Bonafide RVR119 stern deck is built around the YakAttack BlackPak Pro in 13" x 13", 13" x 16" and 16" x 16", with OmniHooks on the bungee to secure it. A dedicated slot ahead of the paddler takes a 26" Ketch measuring board, angled so a fish's nose finds the end. Gunwale inserts accept YakAttack RotoGrip or LockNLoad track bases, and the Sidekick wheel system fits the stern groove tracks. Crates, boards and mounts are sold separately.
What warranty applies to the Bonafide RVR119, and how do you make a claim?
The Bonafide RVR119 hull carries a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original retail customer, and components are covered for one year. Registration within 14 days of purchase activates coverage. Claims start with the dealer you bought from, which is us, and you will need proof of purchase, the model and the hull serial number, a description and photographs. Damage from ratchet straps or a winch system is excluded, and whether any individual issue qualifies is decided under the Bonafide warranty terms rather than by us.
