Eddyline Caribbean 120 Sit on Top Recreational Kayak

The Eddyline Caribbean 120 is the award-winning 12-foot sit-on-top kayak that built Eddyline's reputation in the SOT category — a lightweight, highly capable platform that combines Carbonlite construction with a thoughtfully outfitted deck to deliver a paddling experience well above its class. At 49 pounds, it's one of the lightest 12-foot sit-on-tops available, making solo car-topping and transport genuinely effortless. The signature Gull Wing hull configuration provides extraordinary primary stability while preserving the efficient tracking and glide that the Caribbean series is known for — easy, sweeping turns are accomplished with a slight lean, making it equally approachable for first-time paddlers and satisfying for experienced ones.

The Caribbean 120 comes ready to fish or explore right out of the box. Two flush-mount rod holders are positioned behind the seat, and a 6-inch accessory track on the center spine of the footwell area provides a mounting point for additional gear. Dual gear tracks on the gunwales offer even more customization options for rod holders, camera mounts, or fishing accessories. The elevated removable frame seat is constructed from high-quality marine-grade materials, sitting high for improved comfort and visibility while the self-draining cockpit and tankwell scuppers keep the deck clear. Adjustable foot braces accommodate a wide range of paddlers, and a convenient gear bucket in the cockpit keeps small essentials within easy reach.

Storage is generous and well-organized with a large front hatch, a 6-inch center day hatch, and a rear hatch providing access to most of the interior space. Perfectly balanced carbon fiber side carry handles make solo transport effortless and double as a one-handed paddle park, while bow and stern webbing carry handles handle two-person carries with ease. Built for lakes, inshore bays, slow-moving rivers, and fishing adventures, the Caribbean 120 is the versatile, go-anywhere sit-on-top that delivers Eddyline's signature fit, finish, and performance in a hull paddlers come back to season after season.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Eddyline Caribbean 120

Who is the Eddyline Caribbean 120 best suited for?

The Caribbean 120 suits paddlers who want one sit-on-top for general paddling and light fishing. It is 12 feet, 30 inches wide, 49 pounds and rated to a published 275-pound maximum, and its paddler-size guidance is S/M/L, covering a broad range of paddlers. Two flush-mount rod holders and accessory tracks come standard. The current configuration includes a removable frame seat that lifts out and doubles as a camp chair.

How does the Caribbean 120 compare with the Caribbean 100 and Caribbean 140FS?

It sits in the middle of the line. The Caribbean 100 is 10 feet, 40 pounds and rated to 200 pounds, with a cloth seat and no rod holders. The Caribbean 120 is 12 feet, 49 pounds and rated to 275 pounds, with a frame seat and two flush-mount rod holders. The Eddyline Caribbean 140FS is 14 feet, 60 pounds and rated to 350 pounds, adding a larger rear tankwell. Capacity climbs with length — so does what you have to lift.

What does its 275-pound capacity include?

The published 275-pound maximum includes the Caribbean 120 itself, the paddler, and everything carried aboard. The hull's published 49-pound weight is part of that total, so the full 275 pounds is not available for you and your gear. Count clothing, a life jacket, paddle, water, food, safety gear, tackle, a crate, a cooler and anything riding in the tankwell. Loading below the maximum generally keeps the deck higher and drier and preserves maneuverability — on a sit-on-top, a deeper waterline means more water around the scuppers. Anglers carrying a full kit should compare the Caribbean 140FS.

How does the removable frame seat work?

The current Caribbean 120 configuration uses a removable frame seat rather than a cloth seat. It clips out in seconds and doubles as a camp or beach chair, and removing it opens the deck for loading or cleaning. In the boat it sits raised on a self-draining pan for better visibility and a drier ride, with adjustable support built from marine-grade materials. Rinse it with fresh water along with the hull and let it dry before storage.

What fishing and accessory-mounting features are included?

The Caribbean 120 comes with two flush-mount rod holders behind the seat, ready to use out of the box. A 6-inch accessory track on the center spine of the footwell and gunwale gear tracks take additional rod holders, camera mounts, cup holders and electronics without drilling the hull. Adjustable foot braces set leg length, and deck pads add traction and cut hull noise. Confirm the track profile of any accessory before ordering, since mounting hardware is not universal.

What storage does the Caribbean 120 provide?

The Caribbean 120 has hatch-accessed storage reaching most of the interior, plus a rear tankwell with bungees for a crate, a cooler or a dry bag, and a gear bucket in the cockpit for small items. Hatch compartments on any sit-on-top are water-resistant rather than guaranteed dry, so phones, keys and electronics belong in a dry bag. Tether anything riding in the open tankwell — an open deck loses loose gear quickly.

What types of water is it intended for?

The Caribbean 120 is intended for inshore waters, lakes and ponds, Class I–II rivers and flowing water, and fishing. Its 30-inch beam is the widest of the three Caribbean models here, which is what makes turning to cast or reaching for gear feel settled. Sit-on-tops leave you exposed to spray and water temperature, so dress for immersion outside warm conditions. Class I–II reflects the design's intended range, not a judgment about a specific river.

How should it be transported, and can a scupper cart be used?

Do not use a scupper cart on the Caribbean 120 — posts inserted through the scupper holes can damage the hull, and that damage is specifically excluded from Eddyline's warranty. Use a padded strap-style cart instead. On the vehicle, sit-on-tops carry well deck-down on padded crossbars, with straps snug rather than cranked tight, plus bow and stern lines with loose ends secured. Store indoors when possible, or elevated, covered and dry outdoors. See Eddyline's owner information.

What warranty coverage comes with the Caribbean 120?

The Caribbean 120 carries a three-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, with deck rigging covered for two years. Coverage is limited to the original owner and requires warranty registration. Normal wear, improper use or storage, UV color fading, freight damage and scupper-cart damage are excluded, and the customer pays return transportation, freight and packaging charges on a claim. A product sold as blemished keeps standard coverage apart from the disclosed blemish itself. Full terms are on Eddyline's warranty page.
