We have secured a new partnership with a white glove delivery service that will ensure ZERO Damaged Kayaks. You will no longer be required to sign and inspect your kayak. But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

Simplicity defined, the Mirage Compass is powered by the MirageDrive 180 pedal system and Kick-Up Fins. Patented Kick-Up Fin Technology takes the worry out of kayaking in shallow, structure-filled waters by automatically retracting upon impact. Experience forward and reverse pedal propulsion with Hobie's Square Tip Fins.

New for 2024 is an anodized aluminum alloy frame seat offering incredible comfort, durability, and breathability with mono mesh and ripstop nylon construction. The Compass offers maximum stability and an oversized cockpit and flat deck for standing. A sharp turning radius makes this fishing kayak nimble in tight quarters, yet able to speed over open water in a stealthy fashion.


Kayak fishing features include pre-installed rod holders, H-Track accessory mounts, and a transducer cavity ready for you to install a Lowrance® fishfinder. For a stealthy look, upgrade to the Compass Camo package that is outfitted with Kick-Up Turbo Fins and comes in Camo color.

Storage Abounds: Bring your favorite gear along, including an H-Crate or Livewell. There's plenty of room in the mesh-covered bow storage area, stern storage area with Bungee tie-downs, and the 8-inch round Twist and Seal cockpit hatch.

Molded-in Carrying Handles: Located midship, these handles are ergonomic and conveniently placed to make car topping a breeze. Bow and Stern handle help with transport to and from the water.

Great fishing boat

I fish at locations some distance from the put in sites. I’m 74 years old and those long paddles were somewhat dreaded. I thought a pedal boat may be the answer. It was. I now enjoy those trips to and from the fishing spots. I recommend the camo model for the sharper bow that knifes through the water, the retractable rudder, the power fins and the light weight. I modified mine with an anchor relay for either bow, stern, or both, 3 rod holders to the side or in front of me, and a few rope ties at places that are useful. My boat arrived in Virginia in excellent condition and now it’s rigged to my satisfaction. I recommend the boat and the vendor highly.

Awesome company awesome kayak!

First off I would like to think Eco Fishing for guiding me to my first kayak purchase and being crazy nice and knowledgeable! 👏

The Hobie compass (Camo) looks great and is stable for a beginner like my self. I’m 238 lbs 6’0 and me and my 6 year old went out on it today for the first time today. The packaging was top notch when I received the package great job Eco Fishing!! The 180 drive is super smooth and I got in 3 inches of water and could still lightly pedal and still move in the water. This kayak turns on a dime also. It may look basic to some but that means more customization abilities in my opinion. The only thing I dislike is the seat moves in the front up when peddling at times however it’s either user error or I can tether this down.
Over all I highly recommend this 2023 rig even for beginners, buy once by right.
