Best beach cart for a hobie

If you don’t have a Hobie don’t buy this cart. Hobie designs their scupper system to be able to use scupper carts like this, other kayaks don’t and will eventually crack there. That said this cart makes hauling a Hobie on sand so much easier. The cart’s keeper pin means I can put it on on the bed of my truck, roll it to the water without worrying that the cart will fallout from under the kayak, and roll it right into the water. On the water I just put the cart on the bow of the kayak with the bungees for the hatch to keep it attached. The best part is getting the kayak off the water, just pop the wheels in while the cart is in the water (takes a little learning curve but it’s not too difficult) and roll away. No lifting or carrying or excessive maneuvering.

It’s probably overkill for the amount of weight it will support! Great on sand and gravel shorelines, works well on asphalt but due to price of replacement tires would recommend being overly cautious of debris that can puncture. Tires easily removed from frame, and can easily adjust tire pressure for sand vs harder surfaces. Wheels and frame float and can easily be lashed to rear of kayak or (probably not recommended from hobie) stored vertically in rear scupper holes when on the water.
