2026 Jackson TakeTwo Sit-on-Top Recreational Kayak

The TakeTwo is the latest in our line of tandem fishing and recreational kayaks. This highly versatile kayak can be paddled either tandem or solo, and, with an enormous capacity and motor-ready design, you can take it all!

Jackson’s EZ Hi-Lo (Patented) seating system takes comfort to the next level, letting you raise or lower your seat with one hand and easily trim it fore and aft. The design allows for a range of tandem and solo configurations, including the fun and functional “Facetime” setup, where the front seat can be flipped to face the rear—perfect for helping younger anglers or simply enjoying conversation on the water.

Combined with the open deck layout and high-and-dry seating position, this setup makes it easy to spend long, comfortable days on the water with a friend—or even your dog. The kayak is loaded with smart rigging and storage features. Jackson’s TriTrak system allows multiple track-mounted accessories to be used in the same space while keeping cables neatly concealed in the channels.

Additional gear tracks in key areas expand your mounting options even further. The bow and stern are designed with trolling and electric motor installation in mind, featuring a versatile four-bolt pattern on the stern and a flattened, mountable area on the bow. Two small day hatches provide dry storage for smaller essentials and interior access, while the oversized transducer scupper fits most modern fish finder transducers. With massive bow and stern storage wells and an optional rudder for improved tracking, this kayak is built for comfort, customization, and adventure.

The TakeTwo is an excellent choice for fishing, recreational paddling, or exploring any waterway. It's a versatile kayak that brings together family fun, fishing, and adventure in one fantastic boat.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Jackson TakeTwo

Who is the Jackson TakeTwo designed for?

The Jackson TakeTwo is designed for paddling with a partner, a child or a dog, and it can also be paddled solo from the center position. At 13'9" long and 37" wide with a 500 lb capacity, it is a roomy recreational and fishing platform. Match your water to the least experienced person aboard, and check local conditions before heading out with a passenger.

How many seats come with the Jackson TakeTwo?

Two Comfort Seat 5.0 units come with the Jackson TakeTwo on 2026 models, both on the patented EZ Hi-Lo frame so each paddler sets their own height independently. Together they account for the difference between the 111 lb bare weight and the 123 lb figure with seats fitted. Seat count varies between tandem kayaks, so it is worth confirming on anything you compare it against.

How much does the Jackson TakeTwo weigh, and how do I move it?

The Jackson TakeTwo weighs 111 lbs bare and 123 lbs with both seats fitted, and it is 13'9" long. Confirm your vehicle roof load rating, your rack and crossbar ratings, and the rating of any cart or trailer, then pick the method those numbers support. Allow about 14 ft of clear storage space for the hull.

How much weight can the Jackson TakeTwo carry?

The Jackson TakeTwo has a maximum capacity of 500 lbs. On a tandem that figure covers both paddlers plus the seats, tackle, cooler, water and safety gear, so it is consumed faster than the number suggests. The published capacity is not broken out by component, so add up realistic body weights first and treat what is left as your gear allowance.

Can I add a motor to the Jackson TakeTwo?

Yes. The Jackson TakeTwo is built with trolling and electric motor installation in mind, using an adaptable four-bolt pattern on the stern and a flattened mountable area on the bow. A motor and battery count against the 500 lb capacity that two paddlers already share. Our guide to kayak fishing motors covers the categories, and we will confirm fit for your configuration.

How should I clean and store the Jackson TakeTwo?

Rinse the Jackson TakeTwo with fresh water after saltwater use, flushing both seat areas, the scuppers and the stern well, then dry it. Two seats mean twice the webbing and hardware to rinse and dry before it goes away. Keep the hull out of prolonged direct sunlight, supported evenly across its 13'9" length so the middle is not left hanging.

What does the Jackson TakeTwo warranty cover?

The Jackson TakeTwo hull has a three year limited warranty for the original purchaser of a new kayak from an authorized dealer. It is nontransferable and proof of purchase is required. Year one is repair or replacement at no charge with free shipping, year two a replacement build at 70% off retail plus shipping, year three 50% of MSRP plus shipping. Fishing and exploration replacement builds exclude seats and drives in all three years.
