KISTLER Magnesium Fishing Rod – 20th Anniversary

The KISTLER Magnesium Fishing Rod celebrates 20 years as a Kistler favorite. It's credited as one of the first-ever rods to use a split-grip handle design, built for precision, power, and pro-level sensitivity, primarily for bass fishing though the lineup applies across other species as well.

The blank is KISTLER's KC7X 100% Korean carbon, intermediate modulus, guided by Webo tangle-free stainless steel guides with ceramic rings. Casting models use a Webo Ergo double blank exposed trigger reel seat, while spinning models use a Webo Ergo reel seat with a fore grip. The handle is cork in the original split-grip design, finished with a cushioned rubber/cork butt cap. Every model carries a fast action except the Composite Medium casting model, which combines the KC7X carbon blank with fiberglass and carries a moderate action instead. The rods are made in China.

The Magnesium lineup spans 8 casting and spinning combinations, all at 7'2". Casting runs from Lite-Medium-Heavy through Heavy, plus the fiberglass-composite Medium model, while spinning runs Medium-Lite through Lite-Medium-Heavy, all rated for braid (see the comparison chart below for exact line and lure ratings per model).
