Only if you select the tent option. Two versions are offered and the one you choose at checkout decides what ships.
The No Tent version supplies the trailer package alone, with the tent supports and jacks but no tent. The other version adds a Naturnest Sirius 1 Plus rooftop tent.
Eco Fishing Shop offers this as a combined purchase rather than a single factory-packaged item. The trailer and tent remain separate products, may ship separately, and require their applicable assembly and installation steps.
The MegaSport LowBed trailer, two rear leveling jacks, a wheel stop, two upright tent supports, a full-size spare tire with lockable attachment, and the instruction manuals with registration paperwork. It ships as a multi-boxed item, typically eleven cartons, and assembly is required.
The trailer brings 86-inch load bars with D-ring tie-downs, oversized fenders and pontoon-style tires for better flotation on soft ground, marine-grade sealed hubs with grease fittings, a pre-galvanized steel frame and DOT-approved plug-and-play submersible LED lighting. Empty weight is 425 pounds.
They are for the trailer once it is parked and you are setting up. The two rear leveling jacks and the crank-style tongue jack steady and level the frame so it does not rock under someone climbing into a rooftop tent; the wheel stop keeps the trailer where you put it; the two upright supports carry the tent.
All of this is stationary-use equipment. Retract and secure the jacks and stow the wheel stop before towing, and use jack pads or boards on soft ground so the feet do not sink.
1,000 pounds in total. That covers the tent if you chose that version, the tent supports, any boats and carriers you add, the spare tire, camping gear, straps and cargo — all at once.
The Sirius 1 Plus weighs approximately 151 pounds on its own, which is a real share of the budget before anything else goes on. Count the whole load together rather than treating the tent as separate: it is not a per-item allowance, and component ratings never add to the trailer's total. Tow vehicle and hitch limits apply independently, with the lowest applicable figure governing.
It is a hard-shell four-season fold-out tent on an ABS shell with an aluminum alloy frame, opening in under a minute and sleeping two to three. It has a dual-layer high-density foam mattress, skylights with bug mesh, side windows, a USB power port, light strips, side storage bags, a retractable ladder and integrated luggage bars.
It weighs approximately 151 pounds and measures about 63 by 48.81 by 11.03 inches closed. Naturnest calls for it to sit on at least two crossbars whose dynamic weight capacity is at least equal to the tent's weight. Confirm the mounting arrangement for your configuration before ordering — contact our team and we will check it.
No. The Malone five-year limited warranty covers the trailer — defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser, subject to the written exclusions, which leave out normal wear, corrosion, accidents, misuse, overloading and assembly errors.
The tent carries Naturnest's own separate coverage: one year from purchase on materials, workmanship and parts, excluding normal wear, cosmetic blemishes and damage from improper use, cleaning or storage. Keep the paperwork for both, and register the trailer with Malone within 30 days of purchase.
That warranty registration is not the same thing as state trailer registration. Whether you need a title, plate or inspection depends on where you live — your state motor vehicle agency is the authority on it.
The trailer coupler requires a 2-inch-diameter hitch ball, and the top of that ball should sit 16 inches from the ground so the trailer tows level. That is the trailer's side of the connection. Lighting is a DOT and Transport Canada approved plug-and-play LED system, and the wiring harness carries two accessory outputs.
Your vehicle needs a hitch with a receiver, a ball mount that fits that receiver, and a 2-inch ball fitted to the ball mount. A receiver does not take a ball directly, and receiver size is a separate matter from ball diameter — a 2-inch ball does not mean you need a 2-inch receiver. Hitch, receiver, ball mount, ball and tow vehicle must each be rated for the loaded trailer, and the lowest rating in that chain governs.
A mounted rooftop tent adds height and frontal area, so check your overall towing height against garages and low clearances.
Yes. The trailer, jacks, tent supports and spare tire all go together with standard tools using the supplied illustrated instructions. Chassis components arrive pre-fitted and the electrical system is pre-tested.
Components arrive in multiple cartons and the box count and shipping method vary with configuration. If you chose the tent version, the tent is a separate large freight item and can arrive at a different time from the trailer. Inspect each shipment against its own documentation and report anything missing or damaged promptly at sales@ecofishingshop.com.
Before every trip: lights, coupler and pin, crossed safety chains, lug nuts, condition of all three tires including the spare, jacks retracted and secured, tent latches closed, and all straps. Service the wheel bearings on the schedule in your documentation — the hubs have grease fittings, which makes that straightforward — rinse everything after salt water or road salt, and let the tent dry fully before closing it for storage.
Inflate to the Malone-recommended cold pressure for this trailer, 35 to 40 PSI, checked before towing while the tires are cold, and follow the trailer documentation and current manufacturer specification. A sidewall maximum is not the recommended operating pressure — read the sidewall for tire size, load range and maximum limits, not for the figure to inflate to.
