  • Die-Cast Aluminum Corners: Both top and bottom shells feature 8 precision die-cast aluminum corners for unmatched structural integrity. Unlike plastic joints, they won’t deform over time—ensuring long-term watertight sealing.
  • All-Season Climate Control: Discrete ventilation windows reduce condensation and maintain airflow. Built-in Heater/cooler port allows connection to cooling or heating systems for year-round comfort.
  • Three-Layer Mattress System: Features a layered mattress with felt, anti-condensation layer, and waterproof base—keeping your bedding dry and warm even in wet, cold conditions.
  • Dual-Channel Base Modular Expansion: The lower shell includes double-layer tracks, allowing users to mount tools like shovels, toolboxes, or extra gear—maximizing utility and outdoor readiness.
  • Full Aluminum Alloy Frame: Built entirely with aluminum alloy, this rooftop tent offers superior strength and durability over plastic-corner triangle tents, withstanding harsh environments and long-term use.
  • External Luggage Bar: Comes standard with integrated roof rails, enabling users to mount solar panels, cargo boxes, or other accessories for vertical storage expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a rooftop tent included?

Only if you choose the tent option. This listing has two versions and the one you select at checkout decides what ships.

The No Tent version is the trailer package on its own — no tent of any kind is supplied with it. The other version adds a Naturnest Polaris Plus rooftop tent.

Eco Fishing Shop offers this as a combined purchase rather than a single factory-packaged item. The trailer and tent remain separate products, may ship separately, and require their applicable assembly and installation steps.

What is in the trailer package itself?

The MicroSport Off-Road base trailer with 78-inch load bars, a full-size spare tire with lockable attachment, two rear stabilizer jacks, a hand crank tongue jack stand, and the instruction manuals with registration paperwork. It ships as a multi-boxed item, typically seven cartons, and assembly is required.

The trailer brings the black powder coat over pre-galvanized steel, oversized pontoon tires on marine-grade sealed hubs, full submersibility and DOT-approved plug-and-play submersible LED lighting. Complete weight is 240 pounds. No kayak or bike carriers are included in this configuration.

What are the stabilizer jacks and tongue jack for?

They are for the trailer once it is parked and you are setting up camp. Two rear stabilizer jacks steady the frame so it does not rock when someone climbs into a rooftop tent, and the hand crank tongue jack stand takes the tongue weight and lets you level the trailer front to back.

They are stationary-use equipment, not suspension or load-bearing running gear. Fully retract and secure all three before towing, and use them on ground that can take the point load — a jack pad or board on soft surfaces.

What is the Polaris Plus tent, and what does it come with?

It is a hard-shell four-season rooftop tent with an aluminum alloy shell that opens in under a minute and sleeps two. Inside it has a three-layer mattress with an anti-condensation layer and waterproof base; outside it carries integrated luggage bars for mounting extra gear.

The kit includes a retractable ladder and bag, a USB power port, a heater and cooler port, an LED light strip, an installation kit, luggage bar mounting hardware, shoe bags, Anderson connectors, side storage bags and the support poles. It weighs approximately 166 pounds, which is the number that matters for load planning.

How does the tent affect the trailer's capacity?

It uses a large share of it. The trailer is rated for 800 pounds in total, and the tent's roughly 166 pounds counts against that figure alongside everything else on the frame — boats, carriers, the spare tire, camping gear and cargo.

Add it up as one load rather than treating the tent as separate — it is not a per-item allowance, and accessory ratings never add to the trailer's total. Mounting also matters: Naturnest calls for the tent to sit on at least two crossbars whose dynamic weight capacity is at least equal to the tent's weight. Confirm the mounting arrangement for your configuration before you order — contact our team.

Does the tent carry the same five-year warranty as the trailer?

No. The Malone five-year limited warranty covers the trailer — defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser, subject to the written exclusions.

The tent is a Naturnest product and carries Naturnest's own separate coverage, which runs for one year from purchase on materials, workmanship and parts, and excludes normal wear, cosmetic marks, and damage from improper use, cleaning or storage. Two products, two warranties, two sets of paperwork — keep both. Register the trailer with Malone within 30 days of purchase and keep your original receipt.

Neither of those registrations has anything to do with titling, plating or inspecting the trailer for road use. Those rules vary by state and province — check with your state motor vehicle agency.

What hitch hardware does it need?

The trailer coupler requires a 2-inch-diameter hitch ball, and the top of that ball should sit 18 inches from the ground so the trailer tows level. That is the trailer's side of the connection. Lighting is a DOT-approved plug-and-play submersible LED kit, so confirm your vehicle's connector matches.

Your vehicle needs a hitch with a receiver, a ball mount that fits that receiver, and a 2-inch ball fitted to the ball mount. A receiver does not take a ball directly, and receiver size is a separate matter from ball diameter — a 2-inch ball does not mean you need a 2-inch receiver. Hitch, receiver, ball mount, ball and tow vehicle must each be rated for the loaded trailer, and the lowest rating in that chain governs.

A mounted rooftop tent is tall, so check your overall towing height against garages and low clearances.

Does it require assembly, and how does it ship?

Yes. The trailer takes roughly three to four hours with common tools; the spare tire, stabilizer jacks and tongue jack mount afterwards. Hubs arrive pre-assembled and the wiring is pre-tested.

Components arrive in multiple cartons and the box count and shipping method vary with configuration. If you chose the tent version, the tent is a large freight item and trailer and tent can arrive at different times. Inspect each shipment against its own documentation, keep the paperwork, and report anything missing or damaged promptly at sales@ecofishingshop.com.

What maintenance does it need?

Before every trip: lights, coupler seated and pinned, crossed safety chains, lug nuts, condition of all three tires including the spare, jacks fully retracted and secured, and every strap and tent latch. Service the wheel bearings on the schedule in your documentation, rinse frame, wheels, jacks and hardware after salt water, mud or road salt, and let the tent dry fully before closing it for storage.

Inflate to the Malone-recommended cold pressure for this trailer, 35 to 40 PSI, checked before towing while the tires are cold, and follow the trailer documentation and current manufacturer specification. A sidewall maximum is not the recommended operating pressure — read the sidewall for tire size, load range and maximum limits, not for the figure to inflate to.
