PLEASE NOTE: Maximum added weight to the boat is 50lbs. So 50lbs in additional gear is the most we recommend you carry inside the kayak while using the Sidekick. We also don't recommend adding weight when going over rough terrain, curbs, or dropping out of the back of a pick up truck.

The sidekick was well worth it. I am able to load up my kayak and roll it to the launch without any issues. We also launched from non designated areas and the cart rolls decent. It was also easy to install and comes with a YouTube instructional video. The only downside was the paint chipped off easily.

Couldnt live without it.

If your wet launching your kayak these aren't needed. but if like me your having to drag your kayak down narrow trails, down a beach or across a street these are a life and back saver. And way easier to use than the dolly's and carts. I went from a Bonafide RS117 which weighs about 70lbs (easy to grab the side handle, pickup and pack 100+ yards) To the Native Hammer which weighs twice as much. Love the kayak but would not be loving it if i had to pack it down a trail or fight with a cart. I highly recommend the no float wheels. Makes it a lot easier to pull up the wheels while in the water.

Of all the transportation options available for this boat the side kick style is best suited for the hull shape. Getting in and out of a PU Truck is fairly easy as it relates to protecting the rudder of the Native Slayer Max. You can take the wheels with you in the locked up position or leave them in the truck. I have yet to test the system on rough terrain, but I suspect they will perform well.
