How do the NK300 HD steering, lifting, mounting, and depth-adjustment systems work?
The Newport NK300 HD mounts on a four-bolt aluminum bracket, steers by cable from an HD steering triangle, lifts on an HD retract arm with a control line, and sets depth with a height adjustment clamp. Pulling the steering cords on the triangle turns the motor left or right. The lift line and handle raise it clear of the water for shallows, launching and stowing, and the reverse control line and handle work reverse. Loosen the height adjustment clamp to slide the shaft, and set it so the propeller stays at least two inches below the surface. Two carabiner and pulley sets plus extra nylon cord are supplied for alternative rigging routes.
