Yes, this clip secures the paddle. But it’s a PITA to engage and release. It’s too small to completely fill the cavity behind the paddle clip, so it rotates as you try to use it. I think it’s worth $15 for times on the water when you know your paddle isn’t going to used for a while, but I wouldn’t use it for transport.
