Great cart!

It can be tough to find the right cart for kayaks, but especially larger fishing kayaks. This Wilderness Systems cart almost couldnt be any easier to install out of the box and is very very beefy for those larger kayaks. The bunks are adjustable in width with a simple twist of the wing nuts and can accommodate larger and smaller kayaks with ease. The bunks are also padded to keep the hull of your kayak from getting knicked or damaged as well. The wheels are large enough to roll over obstacles that often come when a kayak cart is needed and small enough to not get in the way when packed on a kayak. These wheels store easily in the tank well of a kayak with a simple strap to keep them on the deck. I have used this with my Jackson Coosa X for my river adventures and for my Jackson Knarr FD for the larger waters as well and it handles them both with ease! Amazing kayak cart, you will not regret buying this one bit!

Makes life a lot easier!

We bought a trailer for our kayaks, but depending on the dock or location, it's not always the best option for moving our heavy kayaks. This comes in very handy in those situations, or when we want to take them off the trailer for other reasons. Once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake and saves a lot of struggle. The assembly instructions were limited but it was easy to figure out.

You have to set the width which takes a bit of time, but it's immediately an upgrade over my scupper hole cart. Works great for the Bonafide SS127.

I’m using it for my Hobie PA12 and am very satisfied. Its adjustable width makes it fit perfectly in the pontoon grooves on the bottom of the boat. Handles the 130 weight easily.

Using under feelfree lure

Nice cart. I had to set it up in the highest position cause the cart wheels would rub the bottom of my yak in the low position. I gotta lift my yak very high to get it over the cart and in position.

Great cart to get the Big Fish 108 to and from the water. We added the larger pool noodles on the support bars and they fut perfectly in the tri hull design to transport to the water a bit easier.

Perfect for my Old Town Sportsman PDL 120

This thing has excellent quality construction and fits the double-U shaped hull of my Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 fishing kayak perfectly. Before I bought this, I already owned one of those $50 cheap carts, and it failed miserably when I tried to use it with my PDL 120 kayak. After that experience of lugging my heavy kayak from the parking lot to the lake's edge, I decided I would get this cart. I had read all the great reviews but didn't want to spend almost $250 on a cart. Now that I did, I have zero regrets. As they say, buy once, cry once. The only downside is that it's not as portable as the small folding carts. You can break it down for storage if you like, though. Ordering from Eco Fishing Shop was great. I received it within a couple of days in perfect condition.

I have an Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 Fishing Kayak. Due to the shape of the bottom, there are challenges. Placement has to be very strategic as it is not just a basic "flat" bottom. Be sure of the shape of you Kayak bottom and match up the Kart to that. Research, research, research!!!

Just What I Needed

I tried a couple of other carts for my Big Fish 108, but they just didn’t work, even after making recommended modifications. The Wilderness Systems Heavy Duty cart was just what I needed. It’s well built, easy to adjust, very stable, and after buying an aftermarket lift kit it sits deeply and securely under my tri-hull kayak and stays in place even on the bumpiest terrain. Whether you get this at Eco Fish, or elsewhere, I would HIGHLY recommend this cart for heavy kayaks or kayaks where you need a little more room for clearance. I tried to review the customer service, but each time I tried it kept saying that the page was unavailable, so I’ll just say that the purchase experience has always been very good, but the last time I tried to get help they said they were in their busy season, so I ended up taking to 3 different people over a 4 week period before I finally got what I needed. Other than that, they’ve been great. Based on your own values, you can determine for yourselves how many stars you would give them.

I originally purchased another brand of kayak cart that was inexpensive but highly rated on Amazon. However, the first time I used it I realized that it didn’t work well with my Old Town PDL 106. I tried a few diy fixes but nothing really secured the kayak to the cart as well as I would have liked. Therefore I decided to stop messing and spend the money on the Wilderness Systems cart and it was definitely worth it. Quality matters.
