In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

Who is the Big Fish 120 PDL designed for?

The 120 PDL is for anglers who want pedal power included and the longest, widest hull in the Big Fish pedal range.

What is the Profish pedal drive, and what comes with the kayak?

The Profish Pedal Drive is included with this kayak — you are not buying it separately.

It is paired with the EZ Steer System and a Beaver Tail Rudder, so steering is handled by a hand control while your legs drive the boat. The EZ Rider seat is also included as standard.

The drive unit weighs 21 lbs and lifts out, which is how you handle shallow water and how you load the boat without dragging the drive.

How much does it actually weigh once the drive is fitted?

About 131 lbs ready to fish. The kayak is 110 lbs excluding the Profish drive, and the drive adds another 21 lbs — so the two together come to roughly 131 lbs, before seat accessories, tackle or a battery.

That is well above the roughly 100 lb ceiling our car-topping guide treats as practical for roof-loading. A trailer is the realistic answer for this boat, and it is worth budgeting for one at the same time rather than discovering it later.

Lifting the 21 lb drive out before loading brings the hull back to 110 lbs, which helps, but this is still a two-person lift for most people.

What are its dimensions?

It measures 12 ft 0 in long with a 35.4 in beam.

That beam is worth noting: at 35.4 in it is the widest hull in the Big Fish range, wider than both V3 Motor Ready models and the 105 PDL, which all measure 33.25 in. Width is what you feel when you stand up.

At 12 ft it will overhang any standard pickup bed, and you will want roughly 12.5 ft of clear space for garage or shed storage, plus somewhere dry for the drive unit.

Can I stand up and fish from it?

Yes — it is built for it. It has a padded, reinforced standing platform and a cathedral tri-hull design, the wide multi-chined hull shape that gives the Big Fish series its reputation for stability.

The number underneath that is the beam: 35.4 in. That is the widest beam in the Big Fish range and the most forgiving of these four boats when you are on your feet.

How should I clean, store and maintain it?

Rinse it with fresh water after every saltwater trip, store it out of prolonged direct sunlight, and keep it away from temperature extremes.

That is not just good practice — it is written into the warranty, which excludes damage from prolonged or repeated exposure to harsh environmental elements, including UV exposure, saltwater corrosion, extreme temperatures, and improper storage and maintenance. A hull left uncovered in full sun through a season is the most common way owners fall outside coverage.

If you have no shaded or indoor storage, budget for a cover or a shaded rack alongside the kayak.

What warranty applies, and how do I register it?

The hull is covered for three years from the date of retail purchase and accessories for one year.

The warranty registration form should be submitted within 30 days of the original purchase date, and you should keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase. Claims are handled through the dealer you bought the kayak from — for kayaks bought here, that is us, so start with our team. You will need your serial number, date of purchase and photos of the issue.

Stated exclusions include normal wear and tear, accident, neglect or misuse, prolonged UV or saltwater exposure, commercial or rental use, kayaks towed behind a power or sail boat, colour variation, and products that have been “structurally altered or modified.” Ask our team and we will send you the full warranty terms.
