Shipping kayaks across the country is a tedious, delicate, and expensive process. Our typical lead time for our standard damage-free shipping is 10-14 business days. However, if you would like to pay for expedited shipping (2-5 business days) via FedEx freight, we are giving you that option here!
Even though we cannot guarantee damage-free shipping with this option, we will wrap your kayaks with extra layers of cardboard and do everything in our power to make sure your kayak arrives safely in 2-5 business days.
The one requirement with this option is that you fully inspect your kayak prior to signing the proof of delivery. Damage such as holes that have penetrated the kayak should be "refused" by the customer. Minor scrapes and gauges should be "accepted" by the customer and we will work with you to get those fixed.
If you sign the proof of delivery and damage is found after FedEx leaves, then it is the customer's responsibility to pay for the kayak as the delivery company will not reimburse either party if there is no damage noted on the proof of delivery.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Damage that should be refused is a hole that has penetrated the kayak. Minor scrapes and gauges do not constitute a replacement, as these kayaks should be accepted.
In the occasion that cosmetic damages, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit.
You must place the order and pay in full for expedited shipping prior to the following Friday morning of placing your order. If your kayak has been pre-ordered and is not in stock at the time of placing your order, you must purchase Expedited Shipping prior to the Friday morning of the week your kayak is scheduled to ship.
We have secured a new partnership that ensures they have a 99.97% damage-free rate. Because of their damage-free rate, the customer is not required to sign and inspect their kayak. In the rare occasion, damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.
