Bixpy K-1 Angler Pro Outboard Kit

Bixpy K-1 - Powerful, Portable Marine Propulsion

The Bixpy K-1 Angler Pro Outboard Kit™ is Bixpy's pro version of its K-1 Outboard Kit. The Angler Pro Outboard Kit has a 768wh battery, rather than the 378wh battery. The Bixpy K-1 Angler Pro Outboard Kit™ allows you to stay out longer, explore new waters, fish more, troll for hours or just get home effortlessly at the end of a long tiring day on the water, or when the weather turns on you and you need an extra push to get you back.

The K-1 Motor is roughly 20% shorter in length than its predecessor, the J-2 Motor, yet offers the same massive output the J-2 motors provided in a quieter, more sleek, and more rugged aluminum housing. The K-1 Angler Pro Outboard Kit™ combines the awesome power of the Bixpy K-1 Motor, with 38lb of thrust, and the finely tuned, waterproof, wireless PP-768 Outboard Battery to power virtually any personal watercraft on the market.

This kit is designed for dedicated anglers who want to stay out on the water all day long without having to worry about losing power. Whether you want to motorize your kayak, canoe, paddle board, float tube, dinghy, inflatable pack-raft, or any number of other small watercraft, the Bixpy Outboard Kit is your answer.

The Bixpy K-1 Outboard Kit DOES NOT include a mounting adapter. You will need to purchase a mounting adapter separately based on the watercraft you are trying to motorize.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of watercraft can the Bixpy K-1 Angler Pro power?

The Bixpy K-1 Angler Pro is built for small personal watercraft: fishing and recreational kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, float tubes, dinghies, inflatable pack rafts and similar hulls. It attaches through a mounting adapter matched to your boat rather than clamping to a transom like a conventional outboard, so the practical limit is whether a suitable adapter and mounting point exist on your craft. It is not intended to replace a transom outboard on a larger powerboat. How the motor performs on any given hull depends on that hull's design and displacement, total payload, mounting depth, wind, current and throttle setting.

Is a mounting adapter included with the K-1 Angler Pro, and how do I know which one I need?

No mounting adapter is included, and one is required. The correct adapter depends on your specific watercraft and on where you intend to mount the motor — a fin box, a rudder, a pedal-drive opening, a thru-hull pod, a track or plate system, or a flat vertical surface each take a different piece. Adapters are model-specific, so no single one suits every boat. Browse the Bixpy adapter range, then confirm the match before ordering: call 844-987-5777, email sales@ecofishingshop.com or contact us with your boat's make, model, year and intended mounting location.

What comes in the K-1 Angler Pro kit?

The K-1 Angler Pro kit contains the K-1 motor, the PP-768 outboard battery, the wireless remote control, a magnetic kill switch on a floating leash, the wall charger, an Allen key for opening the propeller shroud for cleaning, the quick-start user manual and a Bixpy vinyl decal. A mounting adapter is not included; it is a separate purchase and has to be selected for your watercraft. Full documentation for the motor and the battery is published on the Bixpy user manual library.

How does the K-1 Angler Pro differ from the standard K-1 Outboard Kit?

The main difference is the battery configuration. The K-1 Angler Pro pairs the same K-1 motor with the PP-768 pack, rated at 768 watt-hours, while the standard K-1 Outboard Kit uses the smaller 378 watt-hour PP-378. Under comparable operating conditions, the larger-capacity pack can provide more operating time between charges. The larger pack also raises the motor's rated output — up to 38 pounds of thrust equivalent at 450 watts with the PP-768, against up to 33 pounds at 400 watts with the PP-378. The Angler Pro pack is correspondingly larger and heavier, which matters on a small deck.

How much output does the K-1 Angler Pro produce?

The K-1 Angler Pro is rated at 450 watts of maximum output and up to 38 pounds of thrust equivalent when running on the PP-768 battery. Thrust equivalent is a comparison rating for propulsive effort, not a speed figure, and it does not convert into a guaranteed miles-per-hour result on any particular boat. What you actually see on the water is set by hull design and displacement, total payload, hull cleanliness, propeller condition, how deep the motor sits, wind, current, battery state of charge and the throttle setting you hold. Two identical motors on two different kayaks will not return the same speed.

What runtime should I realistically expect from the K-1 Angler Pro?

There is no single runtime figure, because draw varies enormously with throttle. The PP-768 pack stores 768 watt-hours and the motor's maximum rated draw is 450 watts, so continuous wide-open running consumes the pack many times faster than a low cruising speed used to hold position or cover flat water. Payload, hull, wind, current, weed in the shroud and the battery's age all move the number as well. Plan a session by the water you expect rather than by a headline figure, keep a clear reserve for the trip back, and carry a paddle.

How are forward, reverse, Warp Speed and the kill switch controlled on the K-1 Angler Pro?

Everything runs from the floating wireless remote, which provides 12 standard forward positions plus a 13th Turbo or Warp setting, along with three reverse positions and stop. The highest setting calls up the motor's maximum rated output and uses battery capacity more quickly, but it does not guarantee a particular speed on any watercraft. The magnetic kill switch is attached to a floating leash; removing the magnet stops the motor and turns off the system. Attach the kill-switch leash to the operator whenever the motor is in use.

Can the K-1 Angler Pro be used in saltwater, and what care does it need?

Yes — the K-1 Angler Pro is intended for both freshwater and saltwater use, with an anodized aluminum housing and corrosion-resistant components. Saltwater still demands a routine. Rinse the motor, cable and battery housing with clean fresh water after every saltwater outing. Keep the electrical connectors clean and dry, fit the supplied caps whenever a connector is unmated, and never cap a wet connector. Clear weed and debris from the propeller shroud rather than running against a blockage, and store the system dry with the connectors protected. A water rating describes sealed, correctly mated components, not immunity to corrosion or neglect.

How long does the K-1 Angler Pro battery take to charge, and how should it be looked after?

Current guidance for the PP-768 v2 is roughly seven to eight hours from a low state of charge using the standard charger supplied with the kit. Use only an approved Bixpy charger — a substitute charger is a genuine fire risk and voids coverage. Charge where you can keep an eye on it, disconnect once charging is complete, and never store the lithium iron phosphate pack fully drained; periodically check its charge during storage and recharge it as needed to prevent over-discharge. Contact Eco Fishing Shop before shipping or returning any lithium battery; carriers restrict them and returns need prior arrangement.

What warranty coverage applies to the K-1 Angler Pro?

The K-1 Angler Pro motor, battery and accessories carry one year of limited coverage from the date of original purchase. Coverage applies to the original retail purchaser buying through an authorized dealer, is non-transferable, and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use and proper maintenance. Keep your dated proof of purchase. Commercial or rental use is generally excluded unless expressly authorized in writing. Accident, misuse, unauthorized repair, opening the battery, improper charging or storage, and the gradual capacity loss all lithium packs show with age are also outside standard coverage. The written terms govern — read them on the Bixpy warranty terms page.
