The experience starts with the incredibly comfortable HiRise™ kayak seating system. The ultra high-back seat allows you to sit with your knees bent, taking pressure off of your lower back. If you want to really dig in and cover some distance, the SeatRack™, and foldable seat frame allow quick and quiet conversion to a lower position.

You’ll notice right away that the SS127 sit-on-top fishing kayak is one of the most stable kayaks you’ve ever been in, which is surprising considering its 33.5” width. It’s not ‘kind of’ stable. It’s crazy stable. A few paddle strokes later will leave you wondering how a fishing kayak this stable and only 12 feet-7 inches long paddles and tracks so well. The Bonafide SS127 seat moves between two positions using the SeatRack system and a foldable frame, quickly and without tools. The high setting puts you in a knees-bent, bass-boat posture that takes pressure off your lower back and lifts your sightline for casting. The low setting drops your center of gravity and suits digging in to cover distance or paddling into a headwind. This lets the paddler choose the position that better fits the conditions and paddling task.

How does the Bonafide SS127 DryPod support a fishfinder and transducer?

The Bonafide SS127 DryPod is a sealed housing integrated with the Doubleheader hinge and paired with a through-hull transducer scupper. The display mounts on top, the battery sits protected inside, and the transducer passes through the scupper rather than through a hole you drill. That combination is what makes a clean fishfinder installation possible on a paddle kayak. The fishfinder, transducer and battery are not included.

Is the Bonafide SS127 motor-compatible and Power-Pole ready?

The Bonafide SS127 is Power-Pole Micro Anchor ready, with the anchor itself sold separately, and SkyHooks are not fitted to stock SS Series kayaks even though rigged photographs often show them. No motor mount or maximum motor rating is published for this hull, so we do not state one. If a powered setup is what you want, the Bonafide PWR129 is the hull designed around motorization.

What warranty applies to the Bonafide SS127, and how do you make a claim?

The Bonafide SS127 hull carries a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original retail customer, and components are covered for one year. Registration within 14 days of purchase activates coverage. Claims start with the dealer you bought from, which is us, and you will need proof of purchase, the model and hull serial number, a description and photographs. Damage from ratchet straps or a winch system is excluded, and eligibility is decided under the Bonafide warranty terms rather than by us.
