In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

Patented Hull Design: At Crescent, we are so passionate about paddling performance, and the CREW kayak is no exception. Our patented hull design and full-length keel keep you tracking straight in all conditions. The bulbous nose provides extra buoyancy with a paddler in the bow and the rocker profile provides superior maneuverability in both tandem and solo seating configurations.

Seating & Storage: In designing the CREW kayak, we set out to create the ultimate paddling platform for all types of waterways without sacrificing comfort. The 2+1 design is easy to adjust, with adjustable straps for every configuration. On solo paddles, the tankwell doubles in size with ample room behind the center seat for an additional cooler. Our mesh-backed framed seats adjust to fit any sized paddler. Four cupholders provide plenty of hydration storage when used as a tandem kayak and the large rear tankwell can accommodate a cooler or large dry bag, secured with bungees.

A Focus On Stability: We wanted to create a kayak that could carry a tremendous amount of weight without compromising stability. That's why we designed the CREW to accommodate a whopping 500lbs without scuppers (600lbs with scuppers). Can the Crescent Crew be paddled solo as well as tandem?

The Crescent Crew is intended for both. The patented hull design carries a full-length keel for straight tracking, and the rocker profile is built to stay maneuverable in tandem and solo seating configurations alike. Seating adjusts through the strap system and the adjustable foot tracks rather than through fixed seat wells, so the layout changes without tools. Allow a few minutes the first time you set it up.

How do the seats and foot tracks on the Crescent Crew adjust?

The Crescent Crew uses aluminum-framed seats with breathable mesh backs, held by adjustable straps that reposition for each configuration. The cockpit foot tracks are adjustable as well, so paddlers of different heights can each set their own leg length. Injection-molded handles at the ends make loading and carrying more manageable, and four cupholders are molded into the cockpit.

How stable is the Crescent Crew for family use and fishing?

The Crescent Crew tracks straight on its patented hull design with a full-length keel, and the bulbous nose adds buoyancy with a paddler in the bow. At 35 in wide it is a broad platform, but it is set up as a recreational tandem rather than a specialized fishing kayak. An accessory-track system is not part of the standard configuration, and a compatible GearTrac kit is available separately. Standing depends on your own balance, how the kayak is loaded and what the water is doing on the day. Try it in shallow, calm water close to shore first.

What counts toward the capacity rating of the Crescent Crew?

The Crescent Crew is rated to 500 lb without scupper plugs fitted and 600 lb with them, and everything aboard counts toward that figure: the paddlers themselves plus the seats, paddles, PFDs and safety equipment, tackle, coolers, dry bags, and any accessory or motor equipment fitted. The difference between the 500 lb and 600 lb ratings depends on the scupper-plug configuration. Add up what you actually intend to bring and leave margin under the rating. A hull loaded close to its limit sits deeper and handles differently than the same hull loaded lightly.

How much storage is available in the tandem and solo configurations of the Crescent Crew?

The Crescent Crew carries a large rear tankwell that takes a cooler or a large dry bag secured with bungees, plus four cupholders in the cockpit. Paddled solo, the tankwell effectively doubles in size, with room behind the center seat for an additional cooler. That is a real difference if you use the kayak mostly alone for camping or long days.

What paddles suit the Crescent Crew, and are they part of the package?

The Crescent Crew package varies, so check with us before you order and we will tell you exactly what ships in the box rather than have you guess at it. Paddle length matters more on a 35 in wide tandem than on a narrow hull, because you are reaching further out to the water. Tell us how tall your paddlers are and we will point you at sensible lengths.

Can a motor or Power-Pole be mounted on the Crescent Crew?

The Crescent Crew accepts the Crescent Power Plate, a machined aluminum mounting surface for power and anchoring accessories. It installs at the existing handle mounting locations, needs no drilling, and comes with its own stainless bolts. The Power Plate is a separately sold accessory rather than part of the kayak, and a motor, Power-Pole, battery, wiring and steering equipment are separate as well. Confirm the complete installation package with us first.

How should the 84-pound, 13-foot Crescent Crew be transported, and what warranty applies?

The Crescent Crew should be stored and transported flat and upside down on the gunwales, with rack contact points and cam straps about one third in from the bow and stern, kept snug rather than cinched down; over-tensioned straps deform a polyethylene hull. Coverage is split under Crescent's published warranty terms. The hull carries a limited lifetime warranty and every other component is covered for one year from the original purchase date. Coverage applies to the original purchaser only, is not transferable, and a claim requires proof of purchase.
