2026 Crescent Kayaks LiteTackle II Fishing Kayak

In contrast to cluttered fishing kayaks on the market, the LiteTackle II builds on the clean, refined design of its predecessor through new features, functionality, and molded-in innovation.

This second generation of our flagship model has been five years in the making, drawing inspiration from the Crescent Community. A kayak’s spirit is the way it performs and interacts with the water which is why the LiteTackle II was built on the same patented hull design as the original LiteTackle. Whether you’re an avid angler or always looking for adventure, the LiteTackle II was designed for you.

The LiteTackle II is built on the already successful hull design of the original LiteTackle and the signature paddling performance Crescent is known for. The hull has a bulbous bow that rides higher in rougher water and adds volume for standing in the cockpit. A full-length keel enhances tracking and speed. The sidewalls sit right at the water level to reduce drag and enhance secondary stability. The hull also features a transducer scupper that works with graphs mounted on the new cockpit console.

We designed a more secure and feature-rich hatch with a webbed hinge and dual pull-tab bungees for added compression and water resistance. An adjustable rod saver keeps rods secure and doubles as a paddle park. We maintained the large tankwell interior with industry-leading storage capacity in the hull. For additional kayak fishing rigging, we incorporated a custom, anodized aluminum GearTrac in the front center console. It’s perfect for mounting graphs to use with the new transducer scupper, a GoPro for filming, or additional rod stagers like the YakAttack Bullwinkle.

The cockpit on the LiteTackle II is open and clean with an extra rigid deck providing a solid standing platform. Flush-mounted YakAttack GearTracs, adjustable foot tracks, bungee paddle parks, and stash pockets come standard. The cockpit floor has a 2mm recess for our pad kit upgrade. Dual cupholders with bungees can accommodate all standard beverage sizes and stash trays are perfect for easily storing your shades, sunscreen, and tackle. Adjustable Height Seating offers ample tackle/gear storage under the seat. Our fully adjustable seats are hand-made in the Southeastern U.S. and feature a padded seat bottom. The new single-strap compression system keeps the seat extra secure and switching between the high and low positions a breeze.

The passthrough rear tankwell in the LiteTackle II doesn’t compromise on storage fitting all popular coolers, drybags, and YakAttack BlackPaks. Dual mighty mounts add additional rigging options. We integrated our new Tankwell Cam Strap Storage System (patent pending), the quickest and most efficient way to secure gear. YakAttack GearTracs with adjustable bungees offers additional storage and rigging options. The rear deck plate doubles the internal storage and hull access—perfect for mounting a Power Pole or Torqeedo to the stern of your LiteTackle II.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Crescent LiteTackle II

Who is the Crescent LiteTackle II best suited for, and how does it paddle?

The Crescent LiteTackle II suits anglers who want a clean, uncluttered fishing kayak that still paddles well. At 12 ft 4 in and 34 in wide it is a longer hull than the Shoalie or the Smallie, and it is built on the same patented hull as the original LiteTackle. A full-length keel enhances tracking and speed, the bulbous bow rides higher in rougher water, and the sidewalls sit at water level to reduce drag.

How stable is the Crescent LiteTackle II for standing and fishing?

The Crescent LiteTackle II is built with a focus on primary stability for standing, with increased volume so secondary stability engages sooner, and an extra-rigid deck that gives a solid standing platform. The bulbous bow adds volume for standing in the cockpit specifically. Note that the deck pad kit is an upgrade rather than standard, so the bare deck is what you stand on until you add it. Standing depends on your own balance, how the kayak is loaded and what the water is doing on the day. Try it in shallow, calm water close to shore first.

What does the 450-pound capacity of the Crescent LiteTackle II include?

The 450 lb capacity of the Crescent LiteTackle II covers everything it carries: your own body weight plus the seat, paddle, PFD and safety gear, tackle, cooler, and any motor, battery and mounting hardware you add. It is not a figure for gear alone. Add up what you actually intend to bring and leave margin under the rating. A hull loaded close to its limit sits deeper and handles differently than the same hull loaded lightly.

What seat and fishing hardware are included with the Crescent LiteTackle II?

The Crescent LiteTackle II seat is hand-made in the Southeastern U.S. and fully adjustable with high and low positions. Rod management includes high/low rod butt stops, rod stager grooves and dual paddle parks, and an adjustable rod saver keeps rods secure while doubling as a paddle park. Dual YakAttack GearTracs sit at the stern. The molded hatch has a webbed hinge and dual pull-tab bungees, and an 8 in quarter-turn deck plate gives interior hull access.

Is a full deck-pad kit included with the Crescent LiteTackle II or optional?

The Crescent LiteTackle II treats the deck-pad kit as an upgrade rather than an inclusion. The cockpit floor has a 2 mm recess made for the pad kit, so the hull is prepared for it and the pad sits flush when fitted. If you fish standing, budget for the pad kit alongside the kayak: it adds grip, comfort and sound dampening underfoot on a hull you intend to move around on.

How long a fishing rod can be stored inside the Crescent LiteTackle II?

The Crescent LiteTackle II front tankwell accommodates rods up to 9 ft long. Beyond that, rods are managed on deck rather than inside: high/low rod butt stops hold them in the cockpit, rod stager grooves keep them separated, and the adjustable rod saver on the hatch straps them down for transport.

Can a fish finder and transducer be installed on the Crescent LiteTackle II?

The Crescent LiteTackle II hull has a transducer recess that works with a graph mounted on the cockpit console, and stealth-routed cable drill points keep the cable off the deck. The console also takes a GoPro mount or additional rod stagers if you prefer to use the position for something else. The fish finder, transducer and battery are separate purchases.

Is the Crescent LiteTackle II motor ready or Power-Pole ready, and what mounting hardware is needed?

The Crescent LiteTackle II is both. It has electric motor mounting points and Power-Pole mounting points at the rear tankwell and stern, and the rear deck plate doubles internal storage and hull access for running cable to them. No motor, battery, wiring or mounting bracket is included. Mounting provisions do not establish a motor's safe operating limit. Confirm the exact rating from the capacity plate, current product documentation or written Eco Fishing Shop product information first. Registration, titling and safety-equipment requirements depend on the state where a motorized kayak is used, so confirm them with the relevant state boating agency before the first powered launch.

How should the Crescent LiteTackle II be transported and stored?

The Crescent LiteTackle II is 12 ft 4 in long, 34 in wide and 79 lb. It can be roof-transported on a compatible rack rated for that weight and those dimensions; confirm the vehicle and rack limits and get loading assistance when you need it. Store and transport it flat and upside down on the gunwales, with rack contact points and cam straps about one third in from the bow and stern, kept snug rather than cinched down; over-tensioned straps deform a polyethylene hull. Ratchet straps and J-cradles are both excluded from warranty coverage, so avoid them. This follows Crescent's care and transport guidance.

What warranty coverage applies to the Crescent LiteTackle II?

The Crescent LiteTackle II carries split coverage under Crescent's published warranty terms. The hull carries a limited lifetime warranty and every other component is covered for one year from the original purchase date. Coverage applies to the original purchaser only, is not transferable, and a claim requires proof of purchase. Normal wear, dragging over rough surfaces, extended sun exposure, improper storage, unauthorized repairs, towing, and rental, commercial or teaching use are excluded, as is damage from J-cradles or ratchet straps. Contact Eco Fishing Shop if you need help confirming coverage or assembling the purchase information a claim requires.
