In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

The Moken 10 PDL offers a fun, efficient and comfortable experience for a full day on the water, whether or not you bring your rod and reel. At 10' 4” in length, don't think the Moken 10 PDL is only for skinny waters and smaller paddlers. Who is the Moken 10 PDL best suited for?

Pedalers who want a compact hull that is quicker to store, load and launch. At 10 ft 4 in it is the shortest kayak in this Feelfree group, and its 35 in width gives it a broad platform for the length, with a 425 lb capacity.

Its compact advantages are storage, loading, launching and maneuverability: it fits garages, sheds and truck beds that a 12 or 13 ft hull will not.

If you prioritize longer-distance tracking, compare it with the Moken 12.5 PDL. If payload capacity is the priority, the Moken 10 has the higher published figure: 425 pounds versus the Moken 12.5’s estimated 375 pounds.

How is Rapid Pedal Drive different from Overdrive?

The Rapid Pedal Drive and the Overdrive are two different platforms, not two names for the same thing. Rapid Pedal Drive is the pedal system built for the Moken PDL hulls, paired with the Rapid Steering System and a Beaver Tail rudder. The Overdrive is the system used on the Lure and Dorado hulls, and it is the only one the Motordrive attaches to.

On the Moken 10 PDL that means the Rapid Pedal Drive, the Rapid Steering System and a Beaver Tail rudder, all included with the kayak, together with the multi-position height-adjustable EZ Rider seat.

Can I add Feelfree Motordrive power?

No. Powered propulsion from Feelfree runs through the Overdrive, and the Moken PDL hulls use the Rapid Pedal Drive instead. No conversion path between the two is documented, so a Moken PDL should be bought as a pedal kayak. If powered propulsion is part of the plan, the Lure and Dorado hulls are where to start — call us and we will work through the difference before you order.

What are its dimensions, weights and capacity?

10 ft 4 in long, 35 in wide, 425 lb capacity. Two weights are published: 72 lb without the seat and pedal drive, and 98 lb with both fitted.

The 98 lb figure is the ready-to-use weight with the seat and pedal drive installed. For lifting and vehicle loading, use the weight of the configuration actually being handled.

The Moken 10 PDL's published capacity is 425 lb. For conservative payload planning, count all occupants and all additional equipment and gear carried aboard, and leave a reasonable margin below the published capacity.

Can I stand and fish from it?

Yes. It has a reinforced standing platform, and the 35 in beam is the wider of the two Moken PDL hulls.

Standing depends on your own balance, how the kayak is loaded, and the wind and water on the day. Try it in shallow, calm water close to shore before you rely on it, and remain seated when wind, chop, current or boat wake makes standing uncertain.

Actual stability also depends on hull shape, loading, the user and water conditions.

How should I transport it and use the Wheel in the Keel?

Two weights are published: 72 lb without the seat and pedal drive and 98 lb with both installed. Use the weight of the configuration you will actually lift, and remove detachable equipment such as the seat and pedal drive before rooftop loading when permitted by the current product instructions.

The Wheel in the Keel is molded into the stern, so lifting the bow lets you roll the kayak instead of carrying it. It helps on firm, even ground over short distances. On soft sand, loose gravel, long carries or steep ramps a cart with wider wheels does the job better.

Roof transport depends on your vehicle, the rack and its rated dynamic load, a workable loading method and your own ability to lift, so check those limits rather than assuming a rack will take it. Store it out of direct sun and off rough ground — prolonged UV exposure and improper storage are both listed warranty exclusions.

What warranty, registration and drive-maintenance requirements apply?

Coverage runs three years on the hull for defects in materials and workmanship and one year on accessories, from the date of retail purchase.

The registration form should be submitted within 30 days of purchase, and the original sales receipt should be retained as proof of purchase.

Rinse the hull, the drive, the rudder and all exposed hardware with fresh water after every saltwater trip, and let everything dry before storage. Saltwater corrosion is a listed warranty exclusion.

Follow the current Rapid Pedal Drive manual for lubrication, inspection and service intervals. Do not substitute a generic lubricant or maintenance interval.

Registration, titling, lighting and PFD requirements depend on the state or jurisdiction where you use the Moken 10 PDL, and adding a motor can change the answer. Confirm them with the relevant state boating agency before the first launch.
