The Minn Kota Kayak Terrova Trolling Motor is a 12V, 55 lb (24.9 kg) thrust, bow-mount electric-steer motor with a 36 in (91.4 cm) composite shaft, built for kayak use in freshwater. It comes with a wireless Micro Remote and uses GPS to run Spot-Lock and AutoPilot, with variable speed control and a Weedless Wedge 2 propeller.

Stow and deploy are manual, using a lever on the mount that slides the motor into the water on fall-away ramps. MK Terrova 36” 55lb thrust kayak

This is my first trolling motor of this type and I’m new to the kayak game. I bought this motor for my WS Tactical Pro128 which I also purchased from EFS.
It takes a bit of getting used to for me to keep the boat positioned where I want, however the spotlock feature is a game changer for me! I really enjoy it. Thanks EFS!

Minn Kota Terrova

Nothing I can say that others haven’t. I went with bow mount so I could steer with my feet using the rudder on the PWR129, but also have the option of front steer with the remote. A wonderful addition to a kayak.

Great kayak option

Works well, Optimized with a shorten shaft size for kayaks. A few things to know: comes with the Micro Remote not the the Advanced GPS one that comes with the regular Terrova. The Micro Remote will do the basics including Spot Lock but will not Jog. Also the Kayak Terrova does not come with the foot pedal like the regular Terrova. Not the fastest maybe 3.5 mph top speed. Pretty good In the weeds. Spot lock works well. Helps to have a rudder or skeg. I will be getting the Advanced GPS Remote as well as the heading sensor to help with Spot Lock positioning.

Does it come with a quick deploy cord and handle?

Hi Steven, The Kayak Terrova does not come with a separate quick-deploy cord and handle. It uses a built-in stow/deploy lever on the mount instead. If you'd like easier deployment from a seated position, many anglers add an aftermarket pull cord or handle, but one is not included from the factory.
