We have secured a new partnership with a white glove delivery service that will ensure ZERO Damaged Kayaks. You will no longer be required to sign and inspect your kayak. But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

Old Town Loon 126 Angler Kayak Features

Frequently Asked Questions About the Old Town Loon 126 Angler

Who is the Old Town Loon 126 Angler best suited to?

The Old Town Loon 126 Angler suits anglers who want a longer, higher-capacity sit-inside for lakes and larger rivers.

It is 12 ft 6 in long, 31 in wide and 60 lb assembled, with 450 lb total capacity against the 325 lb of the 10 ft 6 in Loon 106 Angler.

Longer hulls generally track more steadily and turn less sharply, though load, wind and current all affect how any hull behaves.

How much weight can the Old Town Loon 126 Angler carry?

The Old Town Loon 126 Angler is rated at 450 lb total and 390 lb usable.

Usable capacity is the total minus the 60 lb boat, and it is what remains for you, tackle, a crate and any electronics. That is 120 lb more than the 10 ft 6 in Loon 106 Angler carries.

Even with that headroom, keeping the load low and centered matters more than the number itself.

What is the cockpit on the Old Town Loon 126 Angler like to get into?

The Old Town Loon 126 Angler has a 56 in by 23 in cockpit and a 17.25 in deck height, the same wide opening used on the 106 Angler.

That combination gives easy entry, room to swing your legs and space to twist and reach a rod behind you without fighting the coaming.

The Active Comfort System 2.0 seat adjusts at both the back and the base.

How stable is the Old Town Loon 126 Angler?

The Old Town Loon 126 Angler is 31 in wide on a three-layer polyethylene hull, matching the 106 Angler on width while adding two feet of length.

Extra length generally means better tracking rather than better balance, and how stable any hull feels still depends on load, wind, current, chop, water temperature and experience.

Start on calm water and add gear gradually rather than rigging it fully on day one.

What should be bought alongside the Old Town Loon 126 Angler?

A paddle and a life jacket are not supplied with the Old Town Loon 126 Angler and are needed on every trip.

Match paddle length to the 31 in beam and your height, and choose a vest cut for seated paddling. Our range of life jackets is filtered that way.

Two flush-mount rod holders and an anchor kit are already fitted. A crate, dry bag or cart may be useful depending on your setup.

How is the Old Town Loon 126 Angler transported and stored?

The Old Town Loon 126 Angler weighs 60 lb assembled and is 12 ft 6 in long, with a 6 lb seat that lifts out.

Roof loading is limited by the lowest of your vehicle roof rating, crossbar rating and rack rating rather than by boat weight, so check all three. A kayak cart makes the walk from car to water far easier.

Store it shaded and evenly supported.

What warranty applies to the Old Town Loon 126 Angler?

The hull and deck of the Old Town Loon 126 Angler carry limited lifetime coverage for the original retail purchaser.

Accessories such as paddles and life jackets are covered for one year. No drive or motor is fitted, so the five-year PDL Drive term and the two-year electric term do not apply.

Warranty claims begin with Old Town. Eco Fishing Shop can help identify the correct support path, but coverage decisions are made under the Old Town warranty terms.

Can the Old Town Loon 126 Angler be used in saltwater, and how should it be looked after?

Yes, the Old Town Loon 126 Angler can be fished in saltwater provided you rinse it with fresh water at the end of the day.

The three-layer polyethylene hull is not the vulnerable part. Seat hardware, the hatch rim, rod-holder inserts and the anchor kit are what corrode, so aim the hose there.

Dry it before storage and keep it shaded and evenly supported.
