But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

It is entirely mechanical, so there is no battery and nothing to run flat, and the 19 lb console lifts out of its well.

An ePDL+ RetroFit is available for this model, adding power assist on a 36V 6.5Ah battery with its own published runtimes, which are not the factory ePDL+ figures.

Can the drive be removed from the Old Town Topwater 120 PDL for shallow water?

Yes, the 19 lb pedal console on the Old Town Topwater 120 PDL lifts out of its well, which is how you handle shallow water, weed and loading.

The hull and deck carry limited lifetime coverage for the original retail purchaser. The PDL Drive is covered for five years, and the rudder assembly and seat fall under the one-year accessory term rather than the drive term.

Coverage runs from the original purchase date to the original retail purchaser only. An ePDL+ RetroFit fitted later is covered by its own terms, not by the five-year PDL period.

Claims begin with Old Town or the applicable component manufacturer, under the Old Town warranty terms.
