Who is the SuperFish 108 designed for?

The SuperFish 108 is built for anglers who intend to run an electric motor rather than a pedal drive. It was designed for crossover anglers moving from powerboats to kayaks, and it is the first FeelFree model built from the outset around integrated bow- and stern-mounted motor systems.

In practical terms: it suits you if you want a wide, stable platform to fish from and plan to add your own motor. If you want propulsion included in the box, a pedal-drive kayak is the better choice — the SuperFish 108 ships without any drive system.

Does it come with a motor, and what does “motor-ready” actually mean?

No motor is included. “Motor-ready” means the mounting and steering hardware is built into the hull from the factory, so you are not drilling into a kayak that was designed as a paddle boat.

It has bow and stern 4-point motor mounts and a Smooth Move foot-steering system, which gives you hands-free directional control while underway on stern-mounted motor setups.

The hull is designed to take a wide range of motor and electronic configurations, but there is no published compatibility list giving specific motor models, maximum thrust, shaft length or motor weight limits. If you have a particular motor in mind, contact us before ordering and we will confirm the pairing rather than guess. What are its exact dimensions — and is it really 108 inches long?

No — despite the name, the SuperFish 108 is 11.15 ft long, which is roughly 134 inches, not 108. The full dimensions are:

Two things worth checking before you order: at 11.15 ft it will overhang the bed of any standard pickup, and you will want roughly 11.5 ft of clear space for garage or shed storage.

How much does it weigh, and can one person move it?

The SuperFish 108 weighs 149.25 lbs (67.7 kg). That is before you add a motor, battery, seat accessories or tackle.

At that weight we would not recommend car-topping it. Our own car-topping guide puts the practical ceiling for roof-loading at around 100 lbs, and the SuperFish 108 is roughly 50 lbs above it.

For getting it from vehicle to water, the hull has a dual wheel built into the keel, so it rolls rather than needing to be carried. For getting it from home to the launch, a trailer is the usual answer at this weight. Budget for one if you do not already own a way to haul a boat this size.

How much weight can it carry?

The rated maximum capacity is 485 lbs (220 kg), and that figure includes paddler, gear, and any other items. It is a total loaded weight, not a payload allowance on top of your own body weight.

That total has to cover you, your motor, your battery, your seat, your tackle and anything you catch. A motor and battery alone can account for a meaningful share of it, so a motor-equipped SuperFish 108 has less spare capacity than the 485 lb figure suggests at first glance. Can I stand up and fish from it?

Yes — the bow was designed for it. The large bow storage area doubles as a standing platform for casting, fighting fish, or simply stretching out on the water, and the wide hull is built to deliver stability and confidence across a range of water conditions.

The number underneath that is the beam: 37.4 in, which is at the wide end for a kayak of this length and is what makes standing practical rather than precarious.

Worth being straight about the limits, though. How stable any kayak feels standing depends on water conditions, how it is loaded and your own balance, and no published figure captures that. Can I mount a fish finder and other accessories?

Yes. The SuperFish 108 has electronics and inspection ports and industry-standard track rails built in.

In practice that means two things. The electronics and inspection ports let you route transducer and power cabling through the hull using the openings FeelFree built in, rather than cutting your own. And because the track rails are an industry-standard profile, accessories designed for standard track systems — rod holders, fish finder mounts, camera arms, tackle trays — will fit without an adapter.

Should I choose this or the FeelFree Lure 11.5 Overdrive?

Choose the SuperFish 108 if you want to run an electric motor and want the widest, highest-capacity platform. Choose the Lure 11.5 Overdrive V2 if you want propulsion included in the box and a boat one person can realistically load alone. They sit at almost the same price, so the decision is about how you want to move.

A note on those weights, because they are not measured the same way: the Lure’s 87 lbs is quoted without the seat or pedal unit, while the SuperFish figure carries no such qualifier. Add a seat and an Overdrive unit to the Lure and the real-world gap narrows — but the Lure is still the lighter boat, and the SuperFish is the wider one with 60 lbs more capacity.

How should I clean, store and maintain it?

Rinse it with fresh water after every saltwater trip, store it out of prolonged direct sunlight, and keep it away from temperature extremes.

That is not just good practice — it is written into the warranty, which excludes damage from prolonged or repeated exposure to harsh environmental elements, including UV exposure, saltwater corrosion, extreme temperatures, and improper storage and maintenance. A hull left uncovered in full sun through a season is the most common way owners fall outside coverage.

If you have no shaded or indoor storage, a cover or a shaded rack is worth budgeting for alongside the kayak.

What warranty applies, and how do I register it?

The hull is covered for three years from the date of retail purchase and accessories for one year.

The warranty registration form should be submitted within 30 days of the original purchase date, and you should keep your sales receipt as proof of purchase. Claims are handled through the dealer you bought the kayak from — for kayaks bought here, that is us, so start with our team and we will take it from there.

Great kayak, not so fantastic shippers, but it all worked out.

I am editing my previous review after all the dust has settled on this adventure. Eco Fishing Shop has been nothing but awesome to deal with. The sticky part is the shipping they use. They isn't amazing and it changed hands several times leaving me in the dark for over a week and a half. Eco was on top of it and the shippers finally reached out to me and we got things squared away. However, I asked for a Wed delivery because I work nights right now and they agreed, but I got up Monday and it was sitting on my front lawn...so I guess that was more convenient for them. Well, now that it's here I couldn't be more happy with it. One thing though, it really needs a trailer to make things easier. I've included a pic of it on top of my Tahoe. Probably the worst case scenario for loading one of these up, but good for some context. That's a big, heavy, kayak on top of that full size SUV. if you don't have a trailer get one of the rear window roller load assists. That thing made all the difference.

Big Fish is a big hit!

I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Big Fish 108. The design of the craft makes it very stable and I don't feel cramped. It may be a bit slower than other brands but I will take safety over speed any day. I take it out at least twice a week and with some add ons, I have made it suitable for my needs. I would definitely buy this again!

I just want to let everyone know how great Eco Fishing Shop and particular Mr. Luke is. I had problems with the shippers to the point I was even lied to on the phone by shipper and I informed Mr. Luke of issue. Mr. Luke got right to work on the issue and even had it offered to me to have the kayak delivered to me the very same day that the shipper lied to me about. To spare the lengthy details I just want people to know I received three calls from Mr. Luke making sure everything was on track and that I was a satisfied customer. I even got an email from I think she was the owner or president of the shipping company to make sure everything was fine. Mr. Luke was outstanding and I am so impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service it is the best I have ever experienced. Way beyond what I could ever imagine. Super sturdy, super stable, treks well for its size and the pedal drive is awesome. Had a minor issue with delivery with small damage to rails but eco responded instantly. They can’t control third party handler but they definitely stood behind their commitment. They sent new rails and refunded my shipping and packaging fee. Can’t ask for better customer service.

great stability

im 60 yrs old 6` 270 lbs not all muscle lol.. that being said the bigfish 108 was meant for me with the 38" beam. it gives me the reassurance of not flipping over just by tilting over to one side. Theres a saying in the kayak world about " its not a question about "if but when" you going to flip. I dont think this applies to this kayak. the hull makes it even more stable. unlike those slim flat bottom kayaks although fast they are very unstable.
The kayak is a bit heavy for me but I'm still able to load and unload it behind my pickup bed. I'm not in the best of shape but I'm still able to peddle at a cruising speed of 2mph without getting winded.
There are alot of brands that are cheaper than this one but there are also alot of brands that are more expensive. at 2k i guess its in the middle.

Senior citizen challenge

I have had a few problems and recommendations!
I’m a big boy and have had issues with the seat staying in place on the high positioning. Didn’t receive the end cap extensions they probably would’ve avoided problems!? The eight ball steering looks cool but would prefer flush mounted control. Places to put items such as beverage, tackle, small gear should be design improvements as seen in competitors, A live well or fish box would also be cool. Too early to be more informative but handles the water well 👍🏼. The guys at Eco have been very kind and helpful!!!

I have had it out on the water once and it preformed very well. It was nimble, quick, and very stable. I am 6’4” and 240lbs and found it to be comfortable and extremely stable in the water. I feel really good about my purchase.

BIG Fish 108 PDL

First off - Amazing service from EFS! I've been telling everyone about these guys at EFS. Secondly, my Bigfish 108 PDL just rocks on the water!! I say "on the water" because this thing is a BEAST. Loading this kayak on top of my vehicle is tough. And I'm in good shape. I am actively seeking a trailer at this time. I love this kayak on the water. Transporting via roof rack sucks! I think the weight of this thing should be highlighted in the product description. Saying that, the stability on the kayak is amazing! Pedaling and tracking is smooth and pleasurable with the 8-ball steering. I have no doubt that when I have a trailer, this purchase will be spot on perfect. I can't say enough about the 5 star service at EFS. From shipping to arrival to a minor issue with the rudder - the staff at EFS are top notch! You all have a customer for life!

Couldn't be happier with my kayak!

I've had this for a couple years now and couldn't be happier with it. The pedal system doesn't move me along as fast as the hobie my buddy has but it is every bit as stable to stand and cast in. The reverse gear is a huge plus! Things of note for potential first time buyers
1. Get a trailer- this thing is very heavy and takes some effort to move even with a dolly and a friend.
2. Telescopic fishing poles are a good addition- you can set up as many configurations and seamlessly switch between them by storing the poles under the seat.
3. I'm 5'7" and use the second notch for the seat. There are several settings to increase seat distance from pedals. I assume this would work quite well for even taller than average anglers.
4. When I received mine there was a considerable amount of slop in the steering rudder.-easily fixed with a hex wrench.

I plan to outfit a trolling motor and lights soon. Will update post after. I couldn't be happier as of two years after purchase. Well done 3 waters!

Awesome Fishing Kayak

I am totally pleased with my 3 Waters Big Fish 108 after using it now for about two months and have gotten all my adjustments in place. Spacious and very stable, stand up fishing is no problem, and I am 100% a rookie kayak fisherman.

Easily one of my best investments ever. Being a 6’3 280 pound dude this kayak is the king with sturdiness. I have absolutely zero fear of the kayak tipping and personally do not think it’s possible. I have taken it on many Lakes in Ohio and have had a blast! There is a lot of room for storage for fishing poles and tackle as well. You will need a heavy duty kayak kart and trailer for transportation tho because it is extremely heavy to move with 1 person. I workout and it is still a hassle but it is top tier for fishing kayaks!

Very Stable!

This is the most stable kayak I have ever used. If you are looking for the kayak you can stand up in and fish with very little worry, this is the one. Buyers, be aware that this is a heavy boat, somewhere around 135 lbs without the drive. I knew it was heavy when I bought it but once I started loading and unloading in the back of my 3/4 ton pick up, that’s when I realized just how heavy it is. I just had to figure out what worked best for me. A trailer may be the better way to transport this heavy boat. It handles very well in the water and not too shabby in the wind. The only true negative I have is the drive. It is load and noisy! The drive works very well, I’ve had no issues with the functionality of it. It’s just makes a lot of noise. Overall, this is a great kayak for the price point and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a stable platform with a budget of $2,000
