Boonedox Groovy Landing Gear

Make getting on and off the water easy with the Groovy Landing Gear.

There's no sense spending any more time in the parking lot than you have to. The Groovy Landing Gear mounts to the hull and your wheels can stay, stow, or go depending on your needs. It also doesn't require you to flip your kayak to mount or unmount your wheels so that you can fish for fish (and not your gear)!

Please note that the Landing Gear legs and wheels are intended for transportation only. The Landing Gear is not intended to support the weight of a kayak during storage. Leaving the landing gear deployed during storage can cause flat spotting on the tires and add additional stress to your kayak.

The Boonedox Groovy Landing gear is a great product. I installed it on my Old Town Sportsman 106MK. The installation took about 2 hours. The old adage: " Measure twice-cut once" certainly applied here. I previously had another strap on type of cart that did not cut it. This thing though is definitely the way to go! Quality construction, ease of use... what more can be said. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Yak on wheels

Easy to install and very handy in rolling my kayak to the water. I'm 78 years old and can handle this heavy kayak with ease. If you have a 136 recommend to get one right away

just what i needed

well, these were pretty easy to install. they seem to be working great. makes transporting my kayak easier, i have used other wheel rigs but these seem to be the best yet. time will tell, and a good trial will be when i travel to south padre for some well deserved bay fishing, thanks for the great product,

Amazing transport system

I have used the standard Boonedox landing gear for over two years now and it has been flawless. Super convenient to get your kayak in and out of the water. Wicked durable, and intuitive installation. Landing gear is a must for me!

Boonedox Groovy Landing Gear usage

Drill holes on my kayak (YUK) but well worth it. Getting on the water and getting off is so simple. Best to take it off and back on when the kayak is floating.

Does not fit

I'm sure it works great just doesn't fit the big catch 108 like the website says. I'll still give it a 5 star my buddies love there's

BooneDox for my Old Town kayak

The BooneDox Groovy Landing Gear is a brilliant idea. However, I couldn't make it work on my Old Town Bigwater PDL 132. I passed the landing gear on to a friend.

I love this product, It’s totally worth the price.

Works

Installed on Old Town AP 120. Heavy kayak/set up. BD handles the weight. Nice maneuverability on harder surfaces. Difficult in beach sand with provided wheels. Maybe the upgraded sand wheel would be better in sand. BD is a sturdy well designed landing gear. If it matches up your launch circumstances then I doubt you will be disappointed with product.

Will this fit the new VoyaX Mossa 128 kayak?

Yes, the Boonedox Groovy Landing Gear Standard Kit is compatible with the Vibe Sea Ghost 130. Boonedox has even published installation videos specifically showing the landing gear being installed on a Sea Ghost 130.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Standard Kit is rated for kayaks up to 180 lbs, including your gear. The Sea Ghost 130 itself is well within that limit, but if you regularly transport it fully loaded, it's worth considering the total weight.

Installation requires mounting the backing plates inside the hull behind the seat, so you'll want access to the interior of the kayak during installation.
