But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

    What water is the Jackson Coosa FD built for?

    The Jackson Coosa FD is built for calm lakes and rivers through to coastal saltwater, on a 12'7" hull that is 35" wide with a 450 lb capacity. It is a general purpose pedal platform rather than a specialist one. If your fishing is mostly creeks and moving water, the shorter paddle-powered Jackson Coosa X is the hull designed for that, despite the shared name.

    What drive does the Jackson Coosa FD use, and how shallow can it run?

    The Jackson Coosa FD includes the Flex Drive Mark IV pedal system and the Comfort Seat 5.0. The drive's mid position is intended for operation in roughly 8 inches of water depending on load, and for passing over submerged logs and rocks. That is drive operation guidance, not a published Coosa FD draft. Retract the drive fully when paddling or poling in very skinny water, landing or transporting, as the Flex Drive Mark IV owner's manual sets out.

    How much does the Jackson Coosa FD weigh, and how do I transport it?

    The Jackson Coosa FD weighs 109 lbs bare, 115 lbs with the seat and 128.5 lbs with the seat and upper drive fitted. Remove the upper drive unit for transport and secure the lower unit fully retracted. Check your vehicle roof load rating, your rack and crossbar ratings and any cart or trailer rating, then choose the method those numbers support. At 12'7" allow about 13 ft of clear storage.

    How much weight can the Jackson Coosa FD carry?

    The Jackson Coosa FD has a maximum capacity of 450 lbs. Raised, it gives you a better view over the deck for casting; lowered, it settles your weight down while pedaling. That seat is the difference between the 109 lb bare hull figure and the 115 lb figure with the seat fitted.

    How should I clean and store the Jackson Coosa FD?

    Rinse the Jackson Coosa FD with fresh water after saltwater use, flushing the drive well, the transducer scupper and the hatch seals, then dry the boat before storage. Rinse and dry the Flex Drive Mark IV separately and store it out of the hull. Keep the kayak out of prolonged direct sunlight on evenly spaced supports so the hull is not held on one point.

    What does the Jackson Coosa FD warranty cover?

    Two warranties apply to the Jackson Coosa FD. The hull limited warranty runs three years for the original purchaser of a new kayak from an authorized dealer, is nontransferable and requires proof of purchase: year one repair or replacement at no charge with free shipping, year two a replacement build at 70% off retail plus shipping, year three 50% of MSRP plus shipping. Fishing and exploration replacement builds exclude seats and drives in all three years. The Flex Drive Mark IV is warranted separately for two years, original purchaser only, nontransferable, and the boat must be registered on Jackson's website within two weeks of purchase.
