We have secured a new partnership with a white glove delivery service that will ensure ZERO Damaged Kayaks. You will no longer be required to sign and inspect your kayak. But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

    Can I add a motor to the Jackson YuPIK?

    Yes. The Jackson YuPIK has four molded-in inserts on the stern that accept four-bolt pattern accessories, including PowerPole, Newport and Torqeedo motors. The motor, its mount and its battery all count against the 425 lb capacity, and a stern motor changes how the hull tracks. Tell us the thrust and voltage you are considering and we will confirm fit before you buy.

    Does the Jackson YuPIK include a seat?

    Yes. The Jackson YuPIK comes with the Comfort Seat 5.0 on 2026 models, carried on the patented EZ Hi-Lo frame. The raised setting helps with casting and spotting fish on open water; the lower setting steadies the boat in a breeze. The seat accounts for the difference between the 93 lb bare weight and the 99 lb figure with it fitted.

    How should I clean and store the Jackson YuPIK?

    Rinse the Jackson YuPIK with fresh water after saltwater use, flushing the scuppers, the stern inserts and the gear tracks where salt collects around hardware, then dry it before storage. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and support the hull evenly along its length rather than at one point. Salt around the stern inserts is what seizes motor mount hardware later.

    What does the Jackson YuPIK warranty cover?

    The Jackson YuPIK hull limited warranty covers the original purchaser of a new kayak from an authorized dealer. It is nontransferable and proof of purchase is required. Year one is repair or replacement at no charge with free shipping, year two a replacement build at 70% off retail plus shipping, year three 50% of MSRP plus shipping. Fishing and exploration replacement builds exclude seats and drives in all three years.
