Kayaks from our warehouse-Here at Eco Fishing Shop we partner with the top of the line freight carriers in the country to ensure that your kayaks arrive fast and safely. 

We have secured a new partnership with a white glove delivery service that will ensure ZERO Damaged Kayaks. You will no longer be required to sign and inspect your kayak. But do not worry, this carrier has a 99.97% damage-free rate and they have assured us of this. In the rare occasion damage has been detected, Eco Fishing Shop will take care of the replacement as long as the damage is reported within 2 hours of delivery and pictures of the damage are submitted via email. If the damage is cosmetic and/or able to be repaired, such as dents or scratches, EFS will provide a repair kit. If you choose to replace a kayak with minor cosmetic damage instead, then you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.  

The Eco Fishing Shop definition of damage is when the kayak is delivered in a condition that compromises the hull and is confirmed with the vendor that would void the warranty.

Kayaks from the Vendor- These kayaks will ship directly from the vendor within 2-4 business day. While we cannot guarantee this option to be damage-free, you will receive your kayak in 3-5 business days. They will wrap your kayak in extra cardboard, put extra "fragile" and "no forklift" stickers on it, and do everything in our power to make sure it arrives safely.

Kayaking Reborn!

I bought my first canoe at age 15 and still own it over 50 years later. Two more canoes and three kayaks later, arthritis in the hands has prevented me from doing much the last couple of years, so I started looking seriously at pedal kayaks. I bought the Old Town PDL 132 to get back out on the lake more and to get exercise while enjoying the close-to-shore experiences that only small craft can provide. I grew up loving to fish on TVA lakes and also hoped this kayak would encourage me to do that again.
It didn't take much research to decide that the Eco Fishing Shop was the place I was going to buy from, particularly after talking to Travis. As a former sea kayaker, I was concerned with speed and the ability to deal with big water when needed. I knew that expectations of performance would have to change when moving to pedal power and had narrowed it down to the PDL 132 and the Jackson Knarr FD when I called.
Travis owned both of these boats and took the time to go over the differences and how each one might fit my needs. Since I couldn’t find a place near Atlanta to try either one it was critical to talk to someone whose judgement I could trust. The free shipping and no sales tax (saving me over $400 compared Dick’s Sporting Goods) only sweetened the deal.
The ordering process was a breeze, the kayak showed up in perfect shape the exact day it was promised. The delivery guys were very helpful, bringing it right to the shoreline. 30 minutes later it was unwrapped, rigged, and I was on the water.
The design and engineering of this boat is excellent. There is virtually no learning curve, and to say that buying it has been life altering for me is no exaggeration. Getting out on the water is seamless and virtually instantaneous when you keep the boat moored at the dock. There's no struggle to get in and out of a cockpit, like there is with a sit-in kayak. Although I enjoyed the challenge and art of paddling well, peddling this boat is literally like riding a bike while sitting comfortably. It handles rough water like a dream and moves right along at 3 miles an hour without much effort. I can once again enjoy exploring back in the coves, seeing wildlife, and in general just being on the water at the drop of a hat. I've been out dozens of times in the two months I've owned it and look forward to being able to do it for years to come.
As Water Rat says in The Wind in the Willows, “Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing — absolutely nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

Great ocean yak

I’ve had the kayak for a couple months now and take it out in the pacific in Southern California. Have had a great time with it fishing for California Halibut, sheephead and barred sand bass so far. Typically traveling at a minimum 12 miles round trip. I have felt nothing but confident in the Old Town big water while out in the open water. Also had previously read some reports of it being potentially unstable and have not felt that at all. Completely the opposite. It’s an extremely stable and versatile kayak. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an ocean fishing kayak.

As for eco. Shipping was easy and received emails updating the status during the process. Was delivered with no damage.

Old town, big water PDL review

Eco did a great job shipping my kayak there was no damage I’m just getting into kayak fishing. I weigh 270 pounds. I purchased the old town big water PDL.132 hoping it could carry my weight and it does easily the kayak is more stable than I expected, and the seat is comfortable. It is a heavy kayak if you wanna put it on overhead racks, but there are ways to do it. I just slide mine in the truck bed with a kayak extender on the receiver hitch, I really enjoy my kayak
