It's a fishing machine

We bought two for our lakehouse, nice lightweight stable kayaks. They did not have them in stock at the store so I drove to Arkansas to pick them up at the warehouse, and assembled the pedals and rudder myself. Great for hands free fishing. We did have to adjust the rudders so they operated correctly. My kids used them over the holiday weekend and really liked them. I like being able to put in back of pickup for easy transport.

I gave up my rowboat, my sailboat and my sit in side kayak. I wanted to find a comfortable stable watercraft to get back on the Columbia River.
The Hobie PA 14 is it! Very comfortable. Very stable and with the Newport NK 180 Pro electric motor - very Lazy. It’s the perfect craft for me. Heck, I may even take up fishing.

Long story short I don't have the space for a boat and a trailer, and inflation has been creeping up so much that it's a terrible time for me to finance a truck, trailer, a decent sized boat, and a house; as a young adult seeing my parents pain during '07-'08 crash was a life lesson learned. However I'm still determined to own a boat to go out fishing and to make memories with my wife and son, friends and extended family. This has led me down a rabbit hole of SIBs (basically inflatable boats). My biggest concern was durability and survivability. These new generation of SIBs has caught up to military standards with multiple air chambers, drop stitch flooring, Valmex/Hypalon vs mainland chinese PVC, heavy duty rubber hulls, thermo-welding versus glue, etc. (practically this wont sink). This skiff specifically is ridiculously stable that I can stand up and fish on, it will handle serious wind driven chop and it doesn’t flinch at boat wakes because of its catamaran design. It definitely would work well with even a weaker 55lb thrust trolling motor or you can use a shallow water anchor spike like I do when inshore and at the flats. The bottom hull of the boat is reinforced with thick heavy duty knurled rubber (it does add more weight compared to others however it well under 100lbs (like 77lbs dry weight to be exact). It has endured multiple sharp oyster beds and rocks that are prevalent down here in Florida, I dragged this across the sandy, shelly beaches and asphalt road. This skiff is rated for 10HP outboard but I use a 3HP Newport NT300 and I was able to go up to 6 knots. I love how agile and nimble this boat is and how I can reach those hard to reach places to fish.

Yes this SIB is expensive compared to others but what drew me to this brand and model was the fact that it was designed and manufactured in Italy (Italians are known for their excellent quality control and craftsmanship), materials made in Germany that are high quality, and rigorously tested and approved in the UK. I'm sure many of us here have been jaded by made in China products breaking down and or receiving a lemon non-functioning, faulty product. It's popular across the pond, and people there had a lot of time to use it, provide feedback to the manufacturer who then released the new generation a few years ago which Eco Fishing Shop sells.

Eventually down the line I would love to get a larger boat to go offshore to act as a mothership for this skiff. This skiff can be easily used as a dinghy because of its light weigh and of course to navigate and fish in 4-6" shallow waters like the flats where the majority offshore purpose boats can't.

It’s definitely a bigger Kayak but with the native side kick it’s totally manageable without a trailer I love the kayak it’s a beast in the water definitely not to hard to peddle and eco fishing shop did a great job of getting it to me in a timely manner

We bought the Morken for my 12 year old son. It was relatively easy for him to operate on our 5 day kayak trip. We traveled about 70 miles. He was required to haul his own gear for camping. During the trip, we had a day of class 1 and 2 rapids. The Morken did very good compared to my Jackson Knarr, but he did not have the same amount of gear loaded. The beaver tail rudder was amazing. The pdl was easy enough to take in and out, but was not able to lock in. We were able to make it work, but needed a more sustainable fix once we got back. If you are under 5 foot 6, you would have a difficult time reaching the pedals. The track system needed adapters to put accessories on it, which was not a big deal. The PDL was heavy for carrying when we hit the landings at the end of the day. Fora a mid grade kayak, it was amazing and my son absolutely loved. We spent about six hours a day on the water and he was very comfortable the whole time. I would purchase this kayak again.

Great kayak, paddles well and very stable. All my gear fits in it great and the open deck gives you lots of space.

This is my first trolling motor of this type and I’m new to the kayak game. I bought this motor for my WS Tactical Pro128 which I also purchased from EFS.
It takes a bit of getting used to for me to keep the boat positioned where I want, however the spotlock feature is a game changer for me! I really enjoy it. Thanks EFS!

The hull shape on this kayak is amazing. The semi-catamaran hull prevents boat from rocking and throwing you out if bow mounted GPS motor makes a hard fast turn. This kayak rides very flat and turns flat without rocking side to side. The swivel seat is nice for accessing items in stern or controlling a tiller motor in the stern. Love that it is pre-plumbed with electric outlets/breaker/etc and even has pull cord pre-plumbed for bow motor. I also love the dual front deck hatches a ton. Many don’t know you can stand there and it gives elevated view as well is the most stable standing location on the boat. This kayak is sexy and is like a piece of floating artwork. I have had the luxury of owning over $50,000 in kayaks over the course of just a few years. This kayak I was so excited for. I saw the prototype a year ago and it won best category boat at iCAST 2024. I truly believe even years down the line it will be a great boat choice for avid anglers.

Fast shipping and great customer service! Love this kayak. It’s my first fishing kayak and I couldn’t be more pleased. I was looking for a lightweight kayak so I could easily car top it. Thank you for my Hobie mirage passport kayak, the price was great the shipping was faster than expected, I ordered on 5/1 and at 8a.m 5/13 I had my kayak wrapped 100% not a scratch on it. Took a little while to receive and was missing a few screws for seat assembly. Eco fishing shop hooked me up promptly and got me taken care of. Got the Yak all setup and will update once I take out but the shopping experience was great.

This is an excellent kayak with a strong, simple, and reliably built pedal drive system. The yak itself provides excellent stability (I’m 5’10”, roughly 240lbs, and I stand up and fly fish out of it in choppy tidal waters w/ constant boat traffic). It also has excellent mounting option for rod holders and accessories, and an easy drop rudder. Best of all, the light weight allows me to throw it on top of my ford focus, in a j bar!! Definitely can’t do this with other fishing model kayaks!! This accessibility allowed me to upgrade from a pelican odyssey that I’d been paddling around for years. Can’t wait to eventually put a bixpy on it!
